Y’all making me think more about my street tire choice. I usually look for the highest rated summer tire on Tire Rack that I think I’m getting a bargain for. I’m a sucker for their website and rating system. I’m still on the shitty OEM tires, 6 months out of the year, lol. Michelin Pilot seem to be a great tire. Some even drive to/from the track on those. Double duty. I’ll likely go that route -off season- if/when these OEM finally do wear down.Update, just got the Conti 7's fitted.
Haven't had a big play yet, but first impressions are the grip is good!
The bank end is much more stable! Admittingly that's comparing them to worn Mich PSS, but i am sure even when the car was new the PSS's were skittish from day one.
For track I‘m definitely pickier. Maxxis my go to or Nankang trying next track day, thx to other kids on this forum having really good success with them.
Apex has some great write ups and guides if you haven’t checked them out yet. So many choices amigo. It’s pretty cool how often they update their guide for tire sizes. Don’t pick a wheel, just scroll down. I personally did buy a set of wheels from them and will probably get another. Great company imoMy favourite choice would be R888R or Advan AD07, but I have a feeling both don't come in the size I need :/
