OEM black mirror caps are not painted. Just a matte black plastic from what I can tell.

Really? Bummer. Oh well, I'll take the matte black. Just want to get rid of the red. Vinyl wrapping them didn't come out great

Correct they were never painted. I have a set of Matte ones took them off at 500 miles
