For context this is for a Time Attack car and I’m looking for a reliable 700-800whp
Gerabox is built, engine is currently stock but going to be getting a basic build soon.

I recently swapped out my AMS Alpha 8 kit as I was sick of wastegate actuator issues. Now have a 6boost manifold with traditional style wastegate.

I’m currently running a 6870 and it did make more power at less boost but is laggier and less responsive than I would like for track work.

It pulls like a train when on boost but it is much harder to get back to full throttle as there is not much then it ramps up hard at 5000rpm.

The logical move would be to swap it for a 6466, but during my research I came across the Xona rotor options. These aren’t popular in Australia so I wasn’t very familiar with them. On paper they sound amazing but there aren’t a lot of real world examples online. Has anyone here had experience with them?

I’m currently all over the shop and contemplating a few options.
  1. Xona XRC6469S, X3C, 1.03 A/R V-band (theoretically better spool without a trade off in top end)
  2. Precision 6466 Next Gen 1.05 A/R V-Band
  3. Garrett g35-990 (I like Garret for reliability but this might be a little small for the application)
  4. GTX3582R Gen2 – I could just change the rear housing and reuse this but curious about the more modern options.

For reference here are the dynos from the AMS Kit and the current 6870, and a pic of the car from WTAC last weekend.
