Should I buy this Supra??

Ran across this ad today, looks like it’s had some serious work done! Anyone know who this car belonged to and what kind of tune, turbo, trans etc…it’s running? I don’t want to jump on a car that’s having issues ya know…

Don't you already have a Supra? Why would you want to downgrade to a B58C with 46k miles on it. If you'd be willing to shell out the money to fix that thing when it blows up, might as well just spend it on the new turbo/manifold/etc on your own 2022.

I would pay 35k, maybe 40, it is a top mount car with a manifold, if it is even remotely close to what that turbo can do, the trans and axles are on their last legs forsure, especially 45k miles. If he sold it like that without parting it, I can only assume he wanted to get rid of it quick...

I do, it’s a 22 but this is a ‘20 with a lot of work. I was hoping someone local would recognize it and tell me what they did. Could be worth it depending…IDK…

If you're questioning if you want to deal with the headaches of a big turbo car already built, it's not for you. Things on this car are going to fail. If you race, you already know this shit. But it likely won't be much different than building this build yourself. You should be very comfortable with the B58 if you buy or build a big turbo car.

Unless you know the owner, who/what shop did the work for him, the maintenance performed and how it was driven - NEVER buy a project of another 'owner'.
