I usually update the iDrive version on the car to the latest then bench unlock and tune.

So why wouldn’t you do this vs femto?

I am doing a bench unlock. I'm trying to figure out what the current prices are for fair unlocks and what companies are most reliable. Femto is for people with post June 2020 ecu's which I don't have,

I'm looking for a bench unlock that works with bootmod3, as i've only heard great things about their software.
I'm mostly just trying to gauge pricing and or see if the dealers on the forum have discounts for this service, as they generally offer them for other products.

I used A90shop for my bench unlock they charged $350. You should be able to find somewhere local that does it for a bit cheaper or get one of those services that does it remotely.

Just get the MHD unlocker. It's not far off from the price a local shop would charge for a bench unlock and you never have to worry about getting it unlocked again in the future if needed.
