Hi,

So the car is notifying me that the rear brakes need to be changed in 1,400 miles. The dealership wants $380 plus tax.

2 questions:

1. Any thoughts on having the dealer do it or are there any other reputable shops in the Phoenix area you recommend?

2. Do the rotors need to be replaced each time the pads are replaced?

Thanks!

1. check to make sure brake pad is indeed low.
2. dealer price isn't too bad considering how much these pad cost and brake wear sensor from dealer cost.
3. I don't recommend low dust brake pad - especially r1 concept. - as it has poor braking distance compare to stock.
4. learn how to replace it yourself. if cost is concern to you, this will save you money on labor.
