I had mine set on the blank portion just before the red line on your pic. With 93 octane, I never had an issue with this setting for the year I used it.

It can't be the white section. Look at the image from BMS. The default setting is on a blue line.

Mine is still in the position from buying it brand new from BMS. I didn’t adjust it.

Turn it clockwise till it stops for max hrsprs
instructions read to be very careful as to not turn it too far or you will damage the unit. Trying to be cautious.

It says to not turn the pot itself. You can feel it. It's just like any other potentiometer.
