Interesting story about dealer warranty.

I bought from Carmax over the summer. Got a nail in each of the drivers side tires. Both!

Called ToyotaCare and they towed the car and the dealer told me that it was covered. Two new tires. Boom! Awesome.

Yeah...Not. He ran the VIN and the first owner (who fully wrapped it and put 2200 miles on it) bought the extended warranty. It is not transferrable from owner to owner to owner. And now.... they are plugged.

I say this because I expect it to be a terrible mess to warranty a BMW through Toyota. I have a connection at my local BMW dealership so I’ll get good pricing. And this way I don’t have to tip toe around my warranty / commit fraud like some folks on here
This guy has no idea how car warranties work.

This guy has no idea how to post without being rude or sarcastic.

I respect @Mason for not trying to defraud Toyota by claiming warranty work that was potentially caused by a modification to the car. It’s nice to see honesty and integrity.

I, on the other hand, have no qualms costing billion dollar international companies a bit of money here and there. ?

Geez, how high are you jacking 1 corner up to harm the structure of the car?
Just curious..... where do you put the jackstand once the car is jacked up on your hydraulic jack? The Supra should be supported only at the jack points. Please don't tell me your working under the car without using jackstands. Very dangerous.
The quickjack is designed with mechanical stops to prevent accidents.
No brainer.......

Installed the new steering wheel and I love ❤❤❤ it!!!
It looks and feels SOOOO much better than the original crappy thing (which reminds me of my 87 vw golf... apart from the airbag obviously ?)
I don't understand how the most crappy wheel ended up in the Supra, BMWs have great wheels and even the loaner Yaris I had last time the car was at the dealer had a better wheel than the Supra... something went terribly wrong here.. anyway all good now??

Nothing some good old jack, jack stands and a creeper can't fix... amirite? I've done my oil changes, multiple downpipes, multiple spring installs, brakes, front lip/ sideskirt/ rear diffuser installs, exhaust, and wheels all just by getting under the old school way. ?
Quickjack = 21st century tech.... work smarter, not harder.
Just my humble opinion.

I've used QJ's before. The prep time busting them out and sliding them under the car, hooking up the main pump to the 2 hoses, plugging in the pump and then double checking to make sure that the QJ blocks are at the correct lift points is the same as me just jacking the car up and sliding a jack stand under..
