HELP with BBK R1 concepts

Hey all, looking for some help. Installing the 6 piston BBK from R1 Concepts and it appears there is no space for the brake wear sensor. Can I just not use it and tuck it out of the way? I just don't want to car to freak out and not work.

I think you’ll be fine. I changed my pads to low dust powerstop (same stock calipers) and one of the sensors got messed up so just tucked it, car is good, no lights on dash or issues braking

When I changed out my pads , my wear sensor also fell off and I didn’t notice, I also tucked it in, but although I didn’t get a light at first, but eventually did show up with a service light saying to check my pads. I also don’t believe you are able to reset the service light for the brakes until those are mounted, at least I wasn’t able to.

I just zip tied the sensor out of the way.

I'm wondering what you did for the rear brake line? I'm not sure how to route it out of the way. What did you end up doing?

I'll have to check with my buddy that did the install. He has a crazy fab shop so I'm sure he took care of any loose or ill routed hoses.

Thanks! Yeah, the front was straight forward, but the rear line is really long and I'm not sure where to attach the brake line holders for the rubber grommet.

This is interesting. I am about to install front and back BBK from R1 Concepts and not sure I will be wanting some sensor light to constantly come on. Wonder if there is anyway to turn it off.

Yes, I contacted them directly. They're made to order so they don't appear on the website. It's about 8 week build time

Yeah I was in communication with a guy named James that works there and he helped me all the info and ordering that I needed.

The R1 kit does allow for the use of the factory e-brake.

R1 Concept which are Taiwan made calipers or P2uned has a rear bbk that also retains factory e-brake

Has anyone had issues with their e brake actuators on 6 piston R1 rear calipers? I’m having this issue on the rear passenger side where the actuator will push and engage but when I take off the e brake, it will not back up enough so that it releases enough tension to disengage. Tested both actuators and they’re both fine. Also tested the mechanisms that rotates back and forward when the actuator does it’s job, it’s also working correctly. Seems like the actuator is pushing very hard and then it does not operate long enough the other way to completely disengage.

My temporary solution has been to manually disengage the pressure, re install actuator with the ebrake in off position and just not use the ebrake at all.

Anyone has any ideas? ?
