I'm not that surprised given that it's a 3400lb+ sportscar with a boosted 3.0L inline six making nearly 450hp at the crank with a shorter final drive ratio than the A/T models and full manual control over gear selection. And sticky factory tires.Good find.
Not that I care for a car like this, but the manual really hurts the gas mileage rating.
EPA-estimated 23 city/31 hwy/26 combined mpg rating for 2023 GR Supra 3.0 AT and 3.0 Premium AT;
EPA-estimated 19 city/27 hwy/21 combined mpg rating for 2023 GR Supra 3.0 MT, 3.0 Premium MT
and A91-MT Edition
The 27 highway MPG rating is still decent considering all that.
Overall its still a bit better in the real world than 2JZ-GTE fuel economy is in the city and it's MUCH better on the highway (Those would be 15 MPG City / 23MPG Highway for a stock MKIV Twin Turbo).
As you said, with this particular model of car these are acceptable numbers.
