It’s home! Picked it up this evening. They left it nice and dirty for me and kept it wrapped like I asked. I think this might be the first west coast delivery.

The manual is great! Shifter feels solid. After driving plenty of BMW's, I'll say that there is a BMW characteristic with the shifter, but with Japanese influence.

I'm more surprised with steering. It's definitely more communicative over my 2022. I feel more feedback and in the bit that I was driving home (about 2 hours), it feels a tad sharper over my 2022.

The clutch - it's a long travel pedal. I was NOT expecting that. Being 6'1, I still have to sit closer than I did in my automatic 2022. It does feel more engaging sitting a bit closer, but the clutch pedal travel is long. The engagement point is clear - it doesn't feel vague at all. The engagement point is a bit closer to the top of the pedal, so there is plenty of room to get comfortable shifts.

I like it. I'm happy. I just can't wait to unwrap it and clean it.

Thats great to hear! Thanks for the detailed review bro. I’ve never driven a manual bmw so its all new to me.

Im about same height so its good to know its not to small. Heard about the long clutch travel but you make it sound like it won’t be to bad at all. That was one thing i was worried about and the twitchy back end but again its good to hear that seems to be better in the 2023’s.
Thanks again and enjoy the new ride

So it doesn't feel like it has a clutch delay valve like BMWs normally have?

It does not feel like the typical rev hang, vague clutch, vague engagement - it does feel predictable with each shift and clutch in/out. With the 4 BMW's I've had, the only similarity I feel is in the shifter and clutch pedal travel.

Just picked up my A91-MT in Austin. Seems to be the first one in the gulf states sold. Hopefully everyone else’s starts coming in soon too!

jeez that is such a beauty - congrats
I never follow up with my dealer because I don't want to be annoying... last week, I texted him "hey man, really excited and just want to let you know I appreciate you".. hoping for a status update without saying I wanted a status update...... he never replied lmao

i found someone on a supra fb group (hes a sales manager i believe) and he started checking on my sales guy's behalf since my guy is not the best texter (i do realize asking for updates once a week may be a bit overboard haha)

Fuck that you’re nice. I try not to be annoying and message once a week but don’t feel bad. They’re making a living off us and would blink twice to try and hustle us out as much as they can in dealer mark ups and warranties. Least they can do os give you updates

Just got offered an A91-MT in burnout, but I picked mine up yesterday, so don't need it. MSRP + $1595 in add ons. Kinsel Toyota in Texas. Ask for Austin, he will take care of you. You can call or text him at 936-433-1392.
