It looks a lot better in video than it did in those horrible pictures going around, I really think the baby blue one looks great.
I'm disappointed they've reduced its power to just 460HP. I wonder if it's the exact same S58 but just has a lesser support system, rendering it incapable of maintaining the higher power output in the M3/4. Maybe it has a weaker cooling system to save weight, making it a more trackable car or something.

Knowing the M2 was better in the track than the m3/4 in the previous gen gives me high expectation for this one too.
I also still think the previous M2 looks better.

Is anyone here thinking of picking it up?
Really considering unless Toyota does something crazy with the Supra GRMN

They can’t make the m2 as much power as a m3/m4 bc of the price point. The car is more than capable at 450hp range.
Lower weight 🥇

Weighs too much!
200 lbs over e90 m3
Thats now an old car. Good luck taking the E90 near a new M2 lol. Time to adapt and allow tech to make things better.

I will be working my order here in Germany: Red w Auto/Tan leather/Sunroof/silver wheels(fk black) sport seats and a heated steering wheel. Does not need further options. Should be a fun ride. Happy to see the new M2!!

I'm actually a fan of it besides the weight. If it were 200-300lb's lighter, I'd likely hold out for one instead of getting a 3.0 Premium.... perhaps I’ll snag one when the LCI comes along.

It's definitely still hideous in the official pictures. Car and driver also says BMW gave them the same 0-60 figures for the new model vs the outgoing M2C. I'm sure it will be a little quicker on track but man what a disappointment after the first generation.

This definitely reaffirmed my decision to go with a 2023 supra over the new M2. The supra was already quicker than the outgoing M2 comp so I would expect it to be about the same performance wise as the new one, but with a nearly 500lb weight savings.

Consider if you plan to increase power levels before making this choice. The headroom capacity on the S58 is lightyears greater than the B58. No contest the Supra is gorgeous.

The car looks even better in videos. Going to go to my BMW dealership today to see if I can put a deposit now. I think the blue is the one for me.

Best looking M car in decades to me.

The exterior gives me vibes from track and rally monsters from the late 80s and early 90s. This will be a future classic.

Even if I were planning on tuning, I wouldn't be able to stomach the looks of the m2 or m3/4.

A car that runs close to a flat 12 quarter mile is fast enough for me. ~400whp is about perfect for the street. Any more becomes kind of useless.

This M2 would look best in a dark color. The lighter shades show off the odd angular body panels too much in my opinion. Id have to see it in person, but I still feel the M240i is the better looking car of the two.
