Just did CSG CP pads, Goodridge lines F/R, SRF fluid last thursday, then the next day I got a new alignment from West End here in SoCal. Car feels much better with regards to the brakes, new pads are great on the street and I’m sure wont fade as quickly as the stock ones did on the track. Chris from West End completlely re-setup my Ohlins with regards to ride height, corner balance, alignment. 2.5 Front and 2.3 rear with a bit of toe, much more neutral but still very dialed when cornering

Obligatory photo from post brake install

Tell me more about those paddle shifters and how you like them. I just started getting the itch this week to upgrade my regular carbon fiber paddles for some of these, in order to get a bit more feedback and noise. Should I pull the trigger?

I like them so far but have only test drove the car since installing today so I don’t have much use on them yet. Overall I like the snappy feedback and they seem to be built well. I can see the clicky noise getting old after awhile although I use paddles sparingly so I will live with it I think. Nothing to complain about yet. Other than the price, lol. Definitely a huge difference compared to stock paddles. Require more pressure to initiate the paddle.

Took the car over to detailers domain in Norwood,NJ they detailed the car and gave her a ceramic boost and checked over all my XPEL. Also installed my American Panda thic whips Toyota and "supra" badges. Also dropped off the old mans widebody hellcat for XPEL. Best detail shop in NJ hands down!

Tracking, spirited driving, whatever. The stock manifold heat soaks so fast it’s not even funny. A single 3rd-4th gear pull is enough to push the IATs nearly 50F above ambient with the stock manifold on my car (stock turbo, E50). That equates to an ~8% power loss all things being equal, that’s ~40 whp lost on a 500 whp car after less than 10 seconds at WOT. Forget losing power after a few laps, the stock manifold is robbing power before the first corner. On a stock car on 93 octane it won’t be as bad as mine since E50 allows the boost pressure to be turned up to the point that the stock turbo turns into a hair dryer above 5500 RPM, but it’s still significant.

I just went out and took some baseline logs on my car as a reference. Once I install the EOS I’ll post the results.
These kind of posts are the reason why I'm here. Thank you for sharing this information, outstanding post.

Well, against everyone’s advice I took a punt on that cheap CF engine cover that I mentioned a few pages back. (I just couldn’t resist checking it out even if I had to pay to return the thing! 😂)

BUT… it looks really good quality to me! (I still need to fit to car though so could still be an awful fit!!!)

The best bit is the latest version is flat where the Toyota emblem is located which is what I really wanted given the choice!

To any UK peeps thinking of getting a CF engine cover, the Whifbitz one @£230 is a bargain compared to anything else out there I could find!

EDIT::

It fits Perfect!

One question… Did you guys reattach the foam insulation pad from the original cover onto the new one? (I am guessing it helps the paint on the bonnet survive the heat)
