Yup, most people that I have talked to are surprised when they find out that the MKIV is shorter and lighter than the MKIII.Never realized the MKIV Supra was actually the smallest one yet. Usually cars just get bigger over its life. If the MKV Supra comes in at 175-180 inches it should still be a good size (not too big and not too small)
Ah no wonder it looks so huge when they put it next to the previous gen Supras! Glad to hear it was upsized just to give it more stage presence. It will look even better and sportier when they shrink it for production.FT-1

Despite its dimensions it really doesn't look that much bigger because the design is so tight and overhangs so short.Ah no wonder it looks so huge when they put it next to the previous gen Supras! BMW insider SCOTT26 said the car is covered in panels screwed / faux shaping to help disguise the real design. Good example is the Lexus LC.The Z5 prototype looks big and bland btw. They better be hiding a lot more impressive bodywork under that camouflage.
Clever. I know they do amazing things to conceal the true shape using foam and padding but the screwing actual panels to the car and using the swirly black and white camo to make it seem like that's the true shape is really going out of their way.BMW insider SCOTT26 said the car is covered in panels screwed / faux shaping to help disguise the real design.
