Much of the focus of Red Bull’s failures will inevitably fall on Verstappen, but Sergio Perez does not escape here unscathed either.

If Verstappen had at least shown flashes in moments prior to his Q2 exit, his team-mate – the winner here in tricky conditions last year, remember – has been a passenger all weekend, classified no higher than seventh in the three practice sessions.

If a midfield grid spot has become alien territory to Max these days, Checo must almost feel at home in P13.

I've been a Lando fan since his rookie year. Nice to see him in a quick car again.
I think Sainz, Russel, and Norris are all in good form. Alonso always seems to over-perform but I'm not sure the Aston is quick enough for him to pull out a podium.

In previous years Max would have gone full send and likely he would have ended up in a wall or in contact with someone else. This year he has shown patience and maturity when starting in the pack. I think he will probably be challenging for top five. I'm not convinced Redbull has the car to pull out a win in Singapore.

RB will likely be fine simply because their DRS is stronger than any other team and there are three DRS zones. That being said, Max has never won here. Any word on any penalties for Max due to pit lane impeding or impeding on track?

“I don't think we'll be able to do much,” he replied. “Around here, it will most likely be a one-stop [race] if nothing crazy happens. Passing, you need to be a lot faster and I don't think we are. So, a very shocking experience.”

How am I not surprised that no penalty was taken. The pit lane one I knew wouldn’t amount to anything, but that on track one was consistent with others that have been penalized this season.

I will be happy if literally anyone but RB finishes first.

Bit surprised with both Red Bulls going out; I thought they'd have ironed out most of the issues by quali, but apparently not. I'd imagine this will hold and their DRS advantage probably won't benefit much if both drivers are losing huge time in the corners, and we may see a non RB winner this year.

I also feel that the last couple of races should mean that Yuki should lose his seat next year. Given this is a small sample size, but both Ricciardo and Lawson both seem to be getting more out of the car despite way less seat time.

Feels like Tsunoda was made to look better by how bad Devries and the initial car setup was.

Curious to see how this continues to play out.

My bet would be on Yuki being the reserve driver to Max and Checo at RB, while Ricciardo and Lawson pair up at AT for the 2024 season.

Damn one qualify really shakes things up a bit. To see a chink in the RB armor. Namely Max. Their grip looked so far off. I truly hope they get it figured out by today. Max stayed cool though and didn’t toss it into a wall like Stroll. So much for any of their team getting sleep last night… This is where they really can earn their constructors ? & give Max his grip back. He doesn’t have to win but wtf…. It was hard to watch his car in that slip n slide drift setup.

Kudos to Ferrari, Lando & George taking advantage while they‘ve clearly got it.

Worst possible SC timing for RBR. Starting on the hards was a bad call knowing the SC is likely to come out. Max made a great recovery, but a podium was on had they started on mediums and followed the rest in pit strategies.
Hamilton making up his own track again, Russell over reaching, Mercedes strategy was on point. Super happy for Carlos and Lando. Excellent drives.

I have to say that was the best end of the race for podium fights so far this year, top 3 separated by only a couple of seconds. Just so overjoyed to see a true battle for first place as opposed to Max running off into the sunset. Make no mistake though, had the luck been different, Max could have easily been right up there with them. Two safety cars at poor times for RB essentially ruined their chances.

Being a McLaren fan I was more than happy with Carlos giving Lando a hand in securing second place, obviously he benefited also but it was still incredibly smart by him (I don’t say team because I bet that was all Carlos).

I certainly feel bad for Russel and Alonso, both had some slip ups that cost them the race. Lawson looks like he won’t be giving that seat back to Danny Ric, which would be upsetting because I like Danny Ric so much, but can’t deny his talent.

I’m hoping that Stroll retires and gives that spot up to someone much more deserving. That team might have a fight for 4th on their hands if my boys can keep getting good points.

After today I can totally see that happening. If AT wants to do better then I think that would be a good line up to get. Lawson already did something de Vries couldnt do in the AT, get some points and he only 1 point away from his teammate that’s been there all year.

Wasn't sure that was a F1 circuit or a Velodrome yesterday. But go Ferrari! Interesting tactic to see play out.

Ferrari has made a habit of throwing races away with poor decisions. This was not one of those races. Brilliant race management from the outset and great gamesmanship by Carlos to use Lando as a rolling roadblock for the surging Mercedes.

I'm a big fan of LN; I'm thrilled to see him with another P2 finish. I'm not sure McLaren has the car to give him top spot.

I also think Mercedes made a mistake pitting Russell. He gave up P2 for a chance at P1, but ended up crashing out trying to regain that P2 spot from Lando who stayed out. Bird in the hand.

Ferrari almost threw out win. - should have pitted to get medium tire during VSC at least for Charles and not saving a set of medium tires. In the end, it only worked out because Carlos helped Lando to block George & Lewis from over take Lando which was brilliant. Even if Lando was over taken after helping Lando, there weren't enough laps left in the race to overtake Carlos. The strategy they had was risky shown by how Charles could been over taken by a RB if it wasn't for last lap yellow flag. If he took off and left Lando to defend himself, George would've won and possibly, even Lewis had time to overtake him.

Now it will be interesting to see the pace of the RB19 in Japan. I'm curious to see if Singapore was a one-off or if the new TD's affected the car.
