Femto unlock problem

"what could go wrong sending my ECU halfway across the world for some company to do sketchy things to?" ?


I used Visconti - so he took care of everything. I'm sure they did something for him.

Really not many people have had any issues at all.

Where do I find rom id?

That's not the ROM ID, plus the ROM ID changes with updates.

Supra ROM ID's start with R4C9 with 5 digits after that that are unique, and SWFL ID's start with 5D55

Example: My 2020 is currently R4C9H6S8B and 5D553CAA08

My b, thought that was ROM ID. I’m looking for that code as it tends to line up with what ECU have

3GM came out with the 2021’s a few of them might have been unlocked. But after 6/2020 they were locked, they are hardware locked not software like the 2020’s. So if it’s past 6/2020 there would be no way they just happened to have one unlocked with a date past 6/2020. If by chance you had one non 3GM then it’s either a clone or you got mad lucky and they found one behind a shelf when they built yours. So I would guess femto messed up, but would be pretty cool to see it actually unlocked.

What I haven been told was the 6/20 DME’s you just had to get pass the encryption. The post June was a circuit board designed changed that did not allow you to just upload a file. Thus a hardware lockout, the only way to upload it by passing circuits on the board.
