Thanks! It turned out amazing!
By the way, how is the PPF on your handles holding up? That's one part I'm discussing with my installer as to how to approach it as I've heard that that area is more likely to peel than others. (I remember you all had to take the door off of your car or something to take the handle off to wrap the handle - just wondering if it's worth the hassle.)

There was only a little bubble that showed up and we had to cut it out. Other than it it's still intact. They and to remove my handles to wrap the whole thing. The front of the bumper had a few lift but they are fixing that this week. Other than that the PPF have been pretty solid. Very easy to clean after the ceramic coating. Just wipe off with cloth.

Awesome - good to hear it's holding up thus far (although I know it's been just a week or so)!

Sorry for the delay. Your car looks great! It is true that we are working on a 72" Film but that will only be available in gloss to start. The STEALTH with the vinyl stripes look great! I think that was a good decision. Thank you very much for choosing XPEL. Email us your Shipping Address and T-Shirt size and we will send out an XPEL Thank You Care Package for your support! Email is [email protected]. This offer goes for ANYONE on this thread that's shared about their XPEL experience.

Thanks for the offer! I'm very happy how the car turned out and it drives alot of interest on the street. Most people never heard of XPEL before and thought the car had a vinyl wrap. The car is definitely a head turner everywhere I go.

Hey guys, So for those of you who used the XPEL PPF and wrapped the full hood in 2 pieces how did it turn out? Is it very noticeable? Pics?

I spoke to my local XPEL installer and said they are able to do it in 2 pieces or just go with a "bikini cut" which will go up 3/4 of the hood.

Thanks for any info.

I contacted the XPEL installer and they mentioned that it may be possible to stretch the 60 inch to fit the hood? Thoughts? Pros? Cons?

Bikini cut is only refered to a precut kit. Do not go near that.

60" film can be stretched but not to the amount needed to cover a Supra hood. They are just assuming if they have not done one yet.

What happens when you stretch the film?
The glue begins to separate
The film gets thinner
Polyurethane (what ppf is made of) will always want to go back to its original state.

It has limits to stretching. I avoid max stretching at all costs.

@XPEL Can you ask Gino at XPEL Montreal to send me some shirts too( Ev @Evonanotec) LOL he will be like AGAIN ahahhahah I wrapped that beautiful Supra.

@BigRuski Thank You for the information.

I guess I will just go with 2 pieces of XPEL PPF on the hood. I hope it isn't too noticeable on red.

@HATED1 if you plan on doing something like we did on RRKnights stealth beast. Try using a dark gunmetal Matte strip.

If no stripe then ask them to bulk a full 60" sheet and at the top edges add pieces that butt against it.

Supra isn't the only car with oversized hood. Some Ferrari models, Lexus LC500, BMW M5 is the same. If they butt up the joint good it will be very fine and not as noticeable. Only because you know it's there that it will look magnified. this is all considering you are going Matte film. If you go gloss then ask them to get the 72 " sheet of Llumar or Suntek.

Why not go with Suntek on the hood and XPEL everywhere else. I did not want the line, nor a stripe to hide it, so that seemed like the best option?

Thank you for all the information. Thank you @BigRuski for the solution for the hood. Spoke to my XPEL installer and going with what you mentioned. Not with the XPEL Stealth, but XPEL gloss on the hood. Shouldn't bother me much (hopefully). Thanks again guys. I'll post pics once it's done!

@XPEL sending you an email once everything is done!

If you are going gloss. You do have the option of having your hood done in Suntek or Llumar.
