Would be interesting to log intake air temps (IAT) to see how much of a difference this actaully makes...

I'd be willing to do it, as well as use my thermal imager to take some good pics showing heart dispersion... but, I'm not spending $90 for what is effectively a $10 hole saw and a 2" round filter.

I remebered once when I was 21 years old, I brought my race YZ125 to the the shop as I had a problem in my carburetor that made.me loose 2 races in a row,my mechanic coudnt find the fault, someone approached me and told.me he could bring the bike to its best and it would only cost me $300, I agreed out of frustration, the guy took 3 minutes to fix it and I stood up to him and I asked $300 for 3 minutes, and he said YES, not for 3 minutes, but for the many years it.took me to master things like this, there and then I learned a lesson, its not a $10 holesaw and a 2 inch filter, is the ammount of energy, resources, and knowledge you put into a particular subject, project, in order to succeed etc.Im a very humble person, and Im here to help,.please show me where you can fix this with $20 bucks, so we can agree into me being too expensive, if you have the holesaw cool, I can ship without it, but please lets talk about the mold and all the different things I need to think to get this done beautifully. This modification is for a 2020 Supra not a Corolla right?
Agreed. It's the mentality of cheap MFers. Like everything we buy, we pay more than the cost of the materials because it costed someone time, money, and energy to think about a problem and to design a solution. Whether or not the solution is a good one, that's a different discussion and up to the consumer to decide.

Interesting analogy... however, not sure it completely flies in this case. The "price=experience" argument is one that definitely has some merit given appropriate circumstances. To this end, I would ask what your qualifications are that makes you a subject matter expert in laminar air flow dynamics and high pressure air handling?

In the Lamborghini world (my other car), we have a famous term for products that are higher priced than typical market pricing for similar items: the "Lambo Tax" aka price gouging. Your analogy of Supra vs. Corolla verifies to me that this product is priced higher because of the perceived higher financial bracket of those owning the Supra. I guess a "Supra Tax" would be fitting in this instance.
