What is a good indicator of reliability? Regretfully enough, resale value.

We are not happy with the "intended" supra because it lacks market optimization. The direction it is heading towards does not align with market. It needs to catch up already when it hits the ground.

Power is dismal compared to others.
Price is excessive compared to others.

Why do you think price and power comes up so often in these forums?
Fair enough i understand the new Supra really doesnā€™t tick the boxes for a lot of people. Thats not my issue tbh.

People consistently saying the R35 is better is just getting stupidly annoying. We know the R35 is superior, but not all of us care. In my opinion the R35 is being made into a car god when it genuinley isnt.. its OK at the very most. The interior was initially plastic fantastic yet they were charging 90k upwards

Not to mention, it is an apple to oranges comparison. The r35 is a superior car thats double the price lol

The comparison to a GTR is to show Nissanā€™s ideology and pursuit of evolving the GTR. Itā€™s to show how a manufacturer with less money can still produce a real Japanese product...no matter what the economic climate is. We all know it costs more than any Toyota right now, but the point is to show how Nissan cared about making a legend come back to life and retain its seat as Japanā€™s top dog at any cost....and Toyota didnā€™t. Shame on you Toyota! The Supra was a GTR competitor remember, not anymore....this is why I bring up the GTR. However, now that everyone sees the MKV Supra as a failure, your now sick of hearing about the GTR? What happened to all the GTR comparisons before we all found out it was going to be a Z4 hardtop???

No one does actually, you know its not out yet right?
Lol....you mean the 99.9% complete car we have been seeing being driven by online journalists is not a clear indication of what the production car will be like? Haha...that is the production car with the boost turned down.

The new GTR is known more as a poor mans super car.. Unless its tuned, it struggles against a RWD M6 Gran Coupe, which both looks a class better and has a superior interior...

The previous gen GTRs are the only worthwhile GTRā€™s. The current gen is stuck between trying to be accepted as a super car but also struggling against heavier 5 door cars... Only reason why the Nissan GTR is doing well is because of its tuneability..

Besides, the Supra hasnā€™t even come out. Apart from you I really dont see anyone calling it a failure... all reviews so far have been positive lol.

Atleast let the car come out before passing judgement every other minute about how shite it is. We havenā€™t even seen the interior properly ffs

You mean a nerfed pre-production car that you haven't personally driven?

Not one, not one, said it was a failure yet you said EVERYONE did

I don't usually follow BMW news but this popped up on my phone and what do you know, the largest BMW SUV will share the same engine as the MKV. I know the X5 was always gonna have it, but this just pushed me to the edge.

https://www.autoblog.com/2018/10/16/2019-bmw-x7-three-row-crossover-revealed-9102wmb/

I was telling myself the V35A in the LS500 wasn't sporty enough because it comes in Lexury sedans and eventually in the Tundra/Land Cruiser so Toyota didn't want it's halo car sharing the same "boring" engine. But now BMW is just tossing the B58 in everything and it's not even the top trim engine in those SUVs!
