That dude is a jackass the more I read about him. Now he says the next rendition of the GT86 will be better to drive than the Supra. Toyota's Halo sports car is already obsolete according to this guy if he's spewing that kind of nonsense.Chief engineer Approves
Just lost in translation, that wasn’t really the message he wanted to makeThat dude is a jackass the more I read about him. I hope so... then again this is Toyota we are talking about lolJust lost in translation, that wasn’t really the message he wanted to make
If you actually got the context, he mean his goals for the next 86 would be to be better than the supra... IN TERMS OF HANDLING. All these clickbait articles took him out of context.I hope so... then again this is Toyota we are talking about lol
Really??Driving Dynamics! Supra does better than current 86>next 86 does better than Supra>Evolved Supra does better than new 86>GR SS says calm downThat dude is a jackass the more I read about him. That's not how a halo car for a company works.Really??Driving Dynamics! Supra does better than current 86>next 86 does better than Supra>Evolved Supra does better than new 86>GR SS says calm down
The translation may have been off and Tada might not have said exactly what is being reported but honestly, he shouldn't be placing himself in positions where he could be misconstrued. Simply saying the next generation 86 will be better than the current 86 is all that's needed. No need to answer to supra comparisons.Just lost in translation, that wasn’t really the message he wanted to make
they're probably treating it like Porsche doesThat's not how a halo car for a company works.
How would Nissan's halo car, the GTR, look if important figure heads in Nissan were publicly talking about how the next Z will be better than the current GTR. Toyota unfortunately doesn't have the legacy in the supra that Nissan has in the GTR but still, comments like having the next 86 be better than the supra in any performance category reduces what the supra name was and should mean. The mk5 literally just came out!
The supra was/is Toyota's halo car and if they don't treat it as such, they should just let the name fully die out after this mk5.
