Hmmm. At least in the video it sounds just as bad to me.
Its hard to capture on video but it takes care of the 50mph buffeting. The 85mph one is still there.

Here is the cheap solution video review. It solves wind buffeting below 85mph.

thanks for posting...

Can't complain about spending $8 to fix this issue and it actually looks great as well!

That's what I figured. I notice you're from Pittsburgh. One good thing about the lockdown is it delays the agony of watching the Pirates start the season.

The Twisted Tuning one is perfect...blends right in and can't even notice it in gloss black and does an excellent job, its now quieter than any car I've ever had with the windows down. Plus, it's cheaper than Verus!
Is it louder with the windows up now?

You're right. There was an Amazon link and it seems to have disappeared.

I've been using the cheap fix for several weeks. I haven't had any issues at highway speeds (70mph). I just finished a road trip last weekend and the majority of the time I had the windows down on the highway because the weather was just too nice.

As far as the noise with the windows up, I don't notice any difference. I think the thread that referred to that was because they had the strip mounted at an upward angle and it channeled all of the air directly into the gap where the window tucks into the trim. If mounted vertically as in the pics then it will deflect the air outwards away from the window instead of up towards the window trim.

Yeah, they are just door guard protectors. The one linked above is the correct style but it has words on it so you will have to scratch them off. I can't find the solid black ones online. I did find the ones that I'm using. It is a matte finish and has a pattern but blends into the rubber trim really good.

Here's a couple of quick links I just turned up. Just do a search for "door guard edge protector". $5 for a 4 pack.

I ended up buying the CF versus version because Iā€™m going to get the CF mirror covers and wanted the same CF pattern and look. The diffusers work exceptionally well, but they are damn expensive.

So on the website it looks like all of them have a logo on them

in the video I heard that two of them are fully black

so is that true? And does that mean you only need to buy 1 pack?

thx

This correct 1 pack needed. Package contains 2 fully black. I used logo ones as practice.

I just installed my Verus Engineering one from Speed Industry. The quality was pretty bad it almost seemed used but I waited two months so I'm just going to ignore the defects. I don't think anyone tested it past 70mph (it's probably weird to have windows down 70+ anyways). At 112 the buffeting happens again and at 90 mph you can feel the wind slapping your shoulder and if you rolled up your window 25% the wind will start slapping your eye haha. It was windy outside when i went out driving though
That is strange to hear. Mine came without any defects at all, and I ordered from Speed Industry as well. Sorry to hear that. I actually recently tested them out at speeds higher than 70mph and still had no wind buffeting or wind related issues tbh.

well thatā€™s disappointing to hear about the quality. For the price I kind of expect a little better fit and finish. Hope I donā€™t have to send mine back
Still strange to me, but I guess it can happen. I haven't seen any issues with mine.

For me, the Verus did help with the wind buffeting, however, now I get a significant amount of wind noise when traveling greater than 70 mph (windows up). This must be the turbulence it creates to take care of the buffeting. Now when I cruise on the interstate there is a lot of this noise. Not sure the trade off was worth it.
Not sure I am getting this issue. When driving on the highway at higher speeds with windows up or down I haven't noticed anything unusual or additional noise. Do you have any footage by any chance for reference?
