Considering that Tada himself previously stated that the MKV Supra would have a 50/50 weight distribution, a lower center of gravity than the Toyota 86 (and possibly rivaling the LFA), and twice the rigidity of the Toyota 86 chassis, the above specs would get a 'mostly yes' from me. If the...

Only a little over an hour left before this race is finally over and Toyota potentially securing its very first win (hopefully the dreaded curse won't rear its ugly head like back in 2016).
If Toyota does win its first 24 hours of Lemans, do you anticipate that we'll be seeing the marketing...
You'll have to wait for the next generation RC which will utilize the GA-L platform that the LC500 and LS500 are on. The GA-L platform will provide a lower overall mass, improved front/rear weight distribution, and a lower center of gravity.
A 50:50 weight distribution and a lower center of gravity than the Toyota 86 would be quite the achievement. Hopefully the speculated engine will use the bottom end of a BMW motor with a Toyota/Yamaha-tuned top end (and the dual-injection D4S to prevent carbon build-up).
This track does exist (it's called the Shibetsu Proving Ground) and it's a very secretive location where Toyota/Lexus tests its prototype high-performance vehicles (e.g. Lexus LFA and LC500). I have no doubt that Toyota has a Supra mule or two being tested to its limits at this location...
You may have unraveled something very interesting with suggesting the S58 engine. As I mentioned in the Gran Turismo Sport Update thread, Lexus/Toyota has a special working relationship with Polyphony when it comes to discreetly releasing clues about upcoming vehicles, engine specs, etc. before...
On paper, it may appear that this is simply the FT-1 but there is a probability that Toyota might have provided Polyphony with the near-final performance specs of the upcoming Supra GRMN in order to emulate the production model in the guise of the FT-1.
My rationale for this? Back in January...
Current curb weight estimates for the new z4 is around the 3000-3200lbs range. This would include additional weight penalties such as being a convertible and containing luxury amenities.
Assuming this is accurate, the Supra can potentially be in the lighter range of this estimate being that it...
If the new FT-1/Supra prototype is finally unveiled at this year's Tokyo Auto Show, will the top performing model on display be the highest spec version envisioned or will there be a future higher-horsepower/performance model unveiled another year down the road (aka a base C7 Corvette vs a C7...
Let's not forget the original reason why Akio Toyoda approved having the Toyota FT-1 built as an actual concept (if we're assuming the Toyota Supra should be based on this concept).
It was because the virtual version of the FT-1 lapped a faster time around Fuji speedway than his personal lap...
