It's a ZF S653. They are rated for 443lb-ft. There's no after market support to build them up like a Tremec T56... aside from a clutch.
Upgraded clutch part number: 16340-TDKR-A
Transmission Part number for the Supra: GS6L50TZ
Not really the right choice if you're planning on making big power.
It's rated at a little less than 450lb-ft of torque. If you want big power... a manual transmission is definitely not the way to go. It would be okay if there were people that actually built up these transmissions. But there is nothing outside of an upgraded clutch.
TPMS will not mount normally. Usually people bypass this by banding the TPMS to the barrel. The suspension shop I went to actually machined the barrel to mount TPMS normally. Not many shops will do this.
What does rarity, vanity, and death have to do with wanting your car clean? Even when I had my Geo Metro I tried not to do anything that would have lingering smells in the car. Smells are really difficult to remove from the cabin because of air filters and fabrics absorbing odors. The only other...
Thanks for the heads up. That's a fantastic price and I'd love to check out the Xona. I am still trying to figure out what to do about cooling. That will dictate what turbo kit I'll go with. I'm thinking of running a Front mount intercooler with a regular intake manifold. Need to see if it's...
So you're looking to do so much power that you'll be upgrading the pistons and rods?
Well make sure to get this clutch and hope for the best:

Real Street has the cheapest price.
The BMW specific part number for the ZF Supra transmission is GS6L50TZ. It is rated for around 450...
I will definitely not fool with "stop gap" mods (i.e. new intake and other bullshit like that) and not compromise on any handling aspects of the build. The direction will still be the same. Street focused powerhouse that is a jack of all trades and master of none.
So after much deliberation.... I've decided to come back to the Supra. I figured if there was ever some S58 edition that came out... My custom build would destroy it in the straights and on the track anyways. So fuck that trim if it ever does come into fruition. Plus B58 support is ridiculous...
The ones that look least OEM are the ones that mount directly under the existing trim.
There aren't many direct replacements for the front lip and side skirts, and even less for the rear diffuser.
You can tune the car without cloning or coming close to spending $7K. Cloning is for a full unlock. Full unlocks are for people looking to do massive power gains. Massive power gains = Built transmission, Fueling, Port injections, Axles, Cooling, Proper turbo kit, Suspension, Wheels, Tires, etc...
Femto is using a proprietary method of cloning to bypass the HSM on the new ECUs. Unless someone from their team leaks how they do it... then someone will have to figure it out on their own.
I'm not sure how it works on these ECUs, but the business I work for updates private keys daily. So to...
I had a mix of painted carbon and exposed carbon. I teetered on the border of rice. I will be painting over all of the CF for my next build.
I never really could decide if I liked it or not. I did decide that I am not a fan of it in the engine bay.
I will be going a different route with me...
