the shift knob is attached to a rod which is inserted into a shaft that leads into the gearbox they are in fact two separate pieces and the separation point meets I would say about 3 inches below the base of the knob…idk why but that sounded super sexual and I think I’mdone with the internet today

I have not attempted to replicate it I used my caveman strength to reseat it and called my local Toyota dealership to get it looked at… My only real concern is by forcing it back in am I doing any damage to the synchro’s
