    Mine had the partial hood piece on it when I bought at the dealer. I pulled it off and had the whole hood and bunch of other stuff done. The factory install was garbage. There were wrinkles in it. Save your money and have a professional do it.

    Quick google shows it’s a regional thing. So it’s added before it shows to the dealer. Sucks that your region does that. I don’t see the value in it.     Sounds like typical dealership snake oil to up charge. I’d never pay for a coating or anything of that sort. Only way to know is to ask your dealer. I would absolutely do ceramic or paint protection over it. maybe someone knows more, but I’ve never heard of it.
