Taking it to the dealer this week - disconnected the battery for a couple hours to see if clearing the memory would help. It didn’t. However, did find that I can get the error to show up and disappear at will. Punch it from 30 MPH -> 70 or so makes it show up. Drive slowly, under 20, for 30...

As much as the error itself intermittent (drive for 5 minutes, shows up, keep driving, goes away.) I think I'm onto something - ran BimmerLink and saw two codes: But a search here dismisses them as fault codes that every car has at some point. Search continues.

When I took the car to the dealer the tech claimed no codes. I have Bimmercode but it sounds like BimmlerLink is my next stop.
