Thanks for the kind offer, maybe at one of the events later in the year. Would enjoy coming by and see how the more experienced divisions look. Other than Friday, all my time this weekend got used up by family and work but I'm hoping with the great weather that the event was a huge success.
To everyone interested and who provided thoughtful advice and tips on this thread, I just added a new thread called "FIRST TRACK DAY thoughts" to try to memorialize the experience. Thanks again to everyone.
Day after reaction of my first track day. I'll try to give a detailed, honest (no ego) accounting for all future drivers interested in taking advantage of the Toyota free-day offer.
Apologies in advance for potentially too much detail/long read. This post is the conclusion of the post from...
today was great I'll try to write a more comprehensive review tomorrow (Family obligations tonight) but it was a really good event in my opinion, great people/volunteers, perfect weather and I had a wonderfully educational/stressful/exciting time LOL
Right now the plan is Friday (today) only. When I signed up, one day seemed plenty for someone who a few months ago stated I'll probably never put this car on the track LOL I'll see how the first sessions go today, and then see what options are available for Sunday. Appreciate the advice
As a recent buyer, I'll throw in my 2 cents. Looking for my new daily driver after 18 years in my Acura, I managed to test drive both, and enjoyed both driving experiences.
I started the research/buying experience a few years ago and was determined to get a manual- the Supra's "new" manual...
Taking my new (December) AT with almost 5,000 miles for my free track day this Friday at NOLA Motorsports (right outside New Orleans). The car is my daily driver, and have seriously loved the first five months of driving. Never been on a track before and 99% chance will never do this again...
appreciate this conversation got a nail right on the sidewall edge today on a rear tire, just 4 months/4,000 miles on it brought it to the local Toyota dealership where I was because I was 60 miles from home and didn't know/trust the local tire shops they said it wasn't salvageable but...
I've sold a few cars locally (kids growing up and selling their school cars, mine when getting the Supra in December) and every time I get at least a 10/1 ratio of scammers on Facebook Marketplace versus real buyers. Its always full price and weird backstories and never cash and never wanting...
Had this conversation with the wife last weekend - decided not to get vanity plates but the top two ideas were:
BILLIE (For Billie Holliday, Queen of the Blues)
or
NOTFURIOUS (I know, too many letters but the idea made me laugh)
Here in New Orleans the most snow ever recorded hit yesterday - 11" at my home, and my new Supra is sitting under a blanket of it right now in my driveway. While its my daily driver, I have zero plans to drive it until the roads are completely clear of ice and any residual salt they might have...
Thanks for posting this - I'm relieved!
As a new Owner, the cold brake noises over the past 2 weeks have had me (and my neighbors LOL) concerned to the point I came on the Forum today to post a question asking for advice. Combined with getting a pebble stuck in the brakes on day 4 (which...
I picked up my blue 2025 AT last week
there is another one arriving at a Houston dealership in next week or so. I was talking with them about a deposit until they pulled the $5K over sticker nonsense
ok thanks! this seemed to work after approx 7-10 minutes
that's a relief I will try to find that setting in the car settings to not worry over it further
still bugged that it blew a fuse on day three but who knows, there has to be faulty fuses sometimes, right?
still slugging my way...
so far I've waited approx. 5 minutes.
currently trying a longer test
it also energizes when the car is off and the cord is then plugged in
leading me to believe this circuit is always hot
Did a quick thread search, didnt see an answer
Picked up my new 2025 last week, and when I plugged in radar detector (that has functioned perfectly in our other 2 cars), noticed it stays on even when car is off/locked. Is this power socket always on? I've never had a car that kept its...
