It seems like 80% of Supras made for the ā24 year are manual. Itās easier to find a manual. I too was shopping for an auto earlier this year. I ending up getting one for $5k under MSRP, although not my #1 choice of color.
I think one reason enthusiast cars lose value faster with mileage is cuz people tend to drive them harder. A Civic Sport with 60K miles is barely broken in, a Supra with 60K miles is a high mileage car.
On my WRX after installing aftermarket wheels in a stock size but lower offset, I started getting more rock chips on the sides of the car. On the Supra Iām not changing the offset or adding spacers to prevent that.
We also have microchips steering for us, braking for us (ABS, stability assist), rolling down the windows, etc. The rear differential is electric. Iām fine with it.
Most newer manuals even come with rev matching, which is takes away part of the fun. Sure, you can turn off rev matching, you can...
By that logic, itās not you steering the car, itās the electric motor in the steering rack. Real car enthusiasts only drive cars with manual steering racks.
You talking about me by any chance? I passed up a manual to wait for an auto. I like manuals just fine but am not religious about them. I still have a manual WRX that Iām not getting rid of, and have only owned manuals over 20+ years of driving until the Supra that I got a month ago.
Iām over...
I havenāt drive an FK8 but my bro has an FL5 that Iāve driven a few times. The shifter reminds me of the 08 Civic Si I had back in the day; just perfect, and I wouldnāt want to change anything about it. The clutch pedal has no feedback when starting out, though. Not sure how it compares to a...
No sales tax in Oregon, right? So $55K is basically the sale price? I just paid $56K + $500 dealer doc fee + sales tax for a 24 3.0 premium auto with driver assist package. $55K for a 3.0 base sounds like a lot.
It sat for a week before they dropped the price. No haggling on my end to get the deal other than getting a couple 3rd party add ons removed that werenāt listed on the web site. I guess red isnāt that popular, or maybe everyoneās waiting for a manual. This is my first auto in 20+ years of driving.
Just finished the paperwork for a '24 Supra 3.0 Premium, auto, driver assist package, red exterior with black interior, for $5K off MSRP. Red wasn't my preferred color choice but it's actually pretty nice! I got on a waiting list in late March for a blue or white one with the specs mentioned.
There are more manuals on the Toyota.com inventory page than autos. Looking in a 500 mile radius, Iām seeing 31 listings, 6 of them are auto. Iām on a waiting list at my local dealer and was offered the color and options I wanted, but with a manual, 3 months after getting on the list. 2 months...
My local dealer has been getting new Supras that aren't pre sold. They sell at MSRP. They actually have a red one in stock, not my preferred color so I'm passing on it. I also passed up on a black one back in May. If you're not picky about the color, it's not hard to find one at MSRP without a...
