What did tada say about the body kits?
Never understood the mentality behind putting gaudy body kits that totally take away from the beautiful lines of the MKIV Supra.
Ah I totally understand race compounds and required heat for braking efficiency. However, in street application I don’t see the ducts keeping the brakes too cool. However having a car that has proper functioning features that can easily be taken to a track and accommodate aggressive compounds...
Many cars have functional brake ducts (front and back) on the road today.. not sure why that would be problematic.
Take a look at corvettes, Vipers, heck even the MKIV’s rear brake duct was functional.
He still is.. at a higher level and gets hands on with all the models. Once they dissolved SRT he took his current role. Great guy, still comes to all the national events. Tracks both his SRT and ACR regularly. Sergio is a total douche on the other hand, after ACR made the rounds in the American...
And I sincerely think Toyota can do that.. hearing about the hardship Tada went through with the car is something that draws me to the car. Similarly Ralph Gillis and his passion to make the GenV Viper a reality. Driving the Viper will make it clear that there was a ton of passion that went into...
Yup.. you can see 09 (~12k) and 10 (~11k) were higher and 11 (~6) there was a sharp decline which is what I was referring to.
Toyota went toe to toe with all other segments with the domestics (once best seller Taurus is almost dead now), Tundra did well in the 1/2 ton segment initially...
Well.. if Nissan updates the Z to even 375hp it would compete well. Post 2011, the mustang GT was 300hp and the 370Z was well placed in the market and you can see in that in the sales figures. But once coyote came out the game was over for the 370Zs and Nissan never did anything to rectify that...
Agreed. The market is very different when it comes to the JDM brands. However, the Camaro, mustangs and mopars have soldiered on and are arguabably at their finest right about now. Just look at what Dodge is offering with the old school platform that the challenger is based on. Scat pack 1320...
10k a year is super optimistic. They’ll celebrate birthdays at dealer lots. Even with the conservative MKIV production they spent a decent amount of time at dealer lots. I remember a Baltic car sitting on a Show room floor for over a year before it got sold.
Makes no sense for it to be a limited production car.. JV with BMW was to cut production costs and bring the Supra to the masses. Would it be a limited production car compared to a Camry.. yes.. but if you went and ordered one you should be able to get it. Limited production like the GT350 and...
You are thinking way too far ahead.. just cause they discontinue something doesn’t mean it’ll go up in value. MK2s and MK3s didn’t shoot up in value like the MK4 did.
Does this mean certain aftermarket outlets had their preview of the car and it’s specs? Maybe Toyota provided them a car already to mock up stuff such as exhaust, intakes, tunes, brakes, wheels etc?
At the same time.. Nissan just reported that they will make the fastest car with the next GTR along with a statement that there won’t be any electrification. Wonder how FCA throws that Hellcat motor in pretty much their entire lineup (Jeep, Charger and now talks of the Commander and the...
Hmm.. generally I agree with you for the typical mustang, Camaro buyer. Given the fact that this car is so hotly anticipated and the after market is ready to take full advantage of it, I’d be surprised the average joe even paying the premium to get into one. Only the hardcore guys that want to...
