  1. McLaren F1 Celebration

Just in case there are any F1 enthusiasts out there who may be interested! McLaren were doing a bunch of stuff in the town center next to their HQ to celebrate with the local community winning the constructors championship. They had a few simulators and a couple F1 cars where one was setup with...
  2. Battery Replacement Question…

I would say yes to the battery reset as it’s part of the normal process where I don’t 100% know what the smart charging does. I mean, for all I know it takes into account the battery age where it charges differently over the battery life time.
  3. Battery Replacement Question…

Ok cool, I guess since I’m not living in Finland that getting an 850 CCA vs the original 900 CCA battery is not going to make any real difference. I was worried the car was somehow going detect/complain about the missing 50 CCA and go all diva on me! ? Oh, and good advice on choosing the...
  4. Battery Replacement Question…

I need to replace my battery as the old one is getting old (not chrging properly) and there are a few options I can buy, but none of them are an exact spec match to my original battery. The original one fitted is: 900 CCA, 90Ah where I can get one the exact same size, but is 850 CCA, 95Ah. Or...
  5. 18" TE37 - Pic Request

I would say…. Ignore that man at your peril! He has serious encyclopaedic knowledge on the Supra platform and kindly helped me several times with questions!
  6. Tire setup for 20" wheels

@Andrew4Supra setup is really nice as he’s taken it to what I would imagine are the limits of size vs lowering the car. If you are considering lowering at some point in the future then I would steal his setup. I was a bit different where I will not be lowering the car as it is a real pain in the...
  7. Tire setup for 20" wheels

I am running 275/305 30 where the only rubbing I have had was on the rear after market rock guards I fitted. (I just trimmed a bit off of them to fix) My invoice says wheels are: 20x9.5 30 20x11 40 They are flush with arches since in UK if they protrude further it will fail yearly inspection
  8. Stage 1 Tune or Catted downpipe

+1 for MHD tune first.. Plus that should be pretty cheap compared to an exhaust if you do it yourself! (like I did) For the early ECU you just need the bench unlocker module that they sell and obviously the MHD+ licence. Once you change the exhaust in the future you will be able to change from...
  9. What’s the purpose of the Engine cover?

Pffft, real racers use Perrier 0W0
  10. What’s the purpose of the Engine cover?

I would have said the main thing this engine cover does is protect the paint on the hood from getting too hot and damaging it over time especially when car gets parked after a long drive? (purely a guess on my part!) ?
  11. Decision between two width sets of tires front/rear

I know of one person that was running lowered with 305 20 and he had rubbing issues. I have no idea how lowered his car was or lowering kit he was using. I’m sure some others on here will be able to provide more detailed info!
  12. Did you know Liam Lawson has a Supra?

Billy Monger, (who was a promising young UK race driver until he had a horrific accident in 2017 and lost both his legs) was driving a Supra until he recently managed to write it off: He did actually carry on racing for a while after his 2017 crash, but is now a popular TV pundit on the F1...
  13. Car has previous unknown platform stage 1 tune, am I clear to apply new MHD tune?

I would just buy the MHD license and try it, and in the event it does need a bench unlock (which sounds unlikely) purchase their unlocker module. https://www.bimecu.com/product-page/mhd-unlocker?srsltid=AfmBOooIiEJZXUNX82notbDBiWAHBk-E7MfmNeJYn75oo-MIrwV1XOpc If you drive to the UK you can...
  14. Why am I rubbing?

I also have rubbing due to the aftermarket rock guards. (I need to take them off and modify them) You may be having the same issue where if so, you should see the rub marks on them.
  15. How much do I need to detune?

MHD in “valet mode” map perhaps? Not sure if there is any adjustment on this OTS map, but seem to remember the default is 60% power. Others here will know better! ?
  16. Mhd unlocker error

I had no issues with mine so can’t really help.. Only thing I can think of is do you have the port 5 connector the right way around? (I seem to remember it’s the opposite way around to what you might think)
  17. 2020 3.0.... A few questions prior to buying MHD setup

I would go with the MHD flex fuel and also buy their unlocker module. I used one to unlock mine which was very simple to do. Also, if I was to ever take it to Toyota and they did an ecu update which locks it again I have the unlocker sat in a drawer at home.
  18. Do any of you want to do the Subwoofer mod (as made famous by Tadda?)

In my case, I definitely wouldn’t notice the difference as I have terrible hearing! Maybe this is telling you it’s time for a hearing test? :p
  19. Cobra exhaust

I can vouch for the existence of this as I’ve seen it and even been in the car to hear what it sounds like. It also now includes the cobra sports cat which gives him the extra 40hp with the installed MHD map over my stock MHD map. There were a few quality issues with Cobra which to be fair a...
