I read some threads that some powder coaters cook the wheels at too high a temp and can compromise the integrity.
Make sure you do your research and that the shop is aware of the issue.
This is all BMW's fault. My X3M is the same and I, like you, can not understand the use case.
Worse, when I am actually sitting in the car with the engine off say waiting for someone, then my music shuts off!
As described here there are ways to "force" it but there is no reason why it...
I have an older charger (like 20 years) that works with AGM batteries so I will probably do that. Though I still wonder if I need to get a modern version?
I think what happened is the battery died as it sat on the lot for 8 months. They charged it and reset the message. Then, when getting...
It's worth it and you can sell it but you may find yourself doing other stuff or switching warning chimes so it's fun to have.
I personally went with a hard wired connection for my X3 that seems to work fine on the Supra. Fast too.
Question for everyone - This has been a persistent problem...
Once wetness is introduced in cold, summer tires get dangerous.
All seasons are usually fine for most when not in snow, but dedicated snows are best for winter conditions.
As mentioned previously, several manufacturers warn of irreversible tire damage for their summer tires if used below a...
Well just back from the dealer. They tested the battery and said it was fine so did not replace (boo).
The message has been reset as well.
There was no mention of them charging the battery so I'll have to take some readings this weekend.
This looks incredible! Too bad there was no thought from Toyota to spend a nickel more and do this OEM.
Not crazy about the wear though. How does it hold up to cleaners one might use on the seat?
Thanks for the feedback! I also checked with PowerStop and they said it is a good pad with the major difference being dissipation of heat via the backing plates.
On the list.
Thanks for the info. I cannot see sh!t out of this car. Will have to see if the g/f agrees as it's hers.
Question: What are the dotted lines on the mirror?
Here's the stuff I use - 3M Windo-Weld. Keep in mind it is literally 30 years old so not sure if the formula changed but it still works great. I use it to keep the emblems on my Nissan center caps which I swap from a chrome to silver cap to align with my wheel swaps.
I've used it for tons of...
Great review - thanks.
Just some suggestions, on places that get wet where tape will eventually fail I have had good luck with either hot glue or the stuff they use for windshield gaskets (butyl rubber?).
I have a roll of the latter for over 30 years and I use it to this day. It is some of...
There is a proper procedure to bedding. Check out this link which is what I have used on my vehicles. I spoke to him years ago and he gave great advice and left me feeling he invented brakes lol.

as posted above I got 12.35v which indicates a 50% charge according to what I found online.
I’m temped to charge it but I think I’ll just let the dealer handle.
We had to drop it off at the PPF shop due to issues - hopefully they will correct it.
In the interim, I am wondering if the AGM batteries go bad when they get too low in voltage?
Once the PPF is straitened out, we will take it to a dealer and hope they will actually replace the battery.
