Maybe they're saving that for the Corolla GR or TRD to compete wtih the Focus ST? and that may slide into the 'trio sports car' line up Toyota has been wanting to have. I doubt we'll see a Toyota S-FR production model with this tight ass budget Toyota has had with the Supra.

First thing I noticed when I saw the photos. Although the car has some really nice curves. Just hoping the final design doesn't look off due to the shorter platform compared to the FT-1 concept.

What a sad time it will be when you have the option to get a Corolla in a manual but not the Supra :(

Maybe someone can share this with the higher ups making the decisions on this car. I feel as if a good amount of sales will be lost by phasing out the manual transmission drivers that are looking for their next car to be a manual.

The Lexus LC500 debut was in January 2016 with production models showing up at dealership late Spring of 2017 as MY 2018. If Toyota is planning to have the Supra in dealerships Spring time of next year it would make sense for a debut at the NY auto show or sometime this year.

I think all they are showing us is what the GT3 version of the car will look like. Giving us an idea of what the car will look like with a rocket bunny kit. They may share the power output but it will be for this car not the production. We still have to wait for all the real stuff. Unless they...

I'd say Toyota is teasing us. Maybe I'm looking into this just a bit too much but at +.044 seconds into the video you'll notice the guy that stands in front of the camera reach towards his nose as is the guy directly across him. This causes the other guys to look up for a second possibly 'code'...

This and the front end of the car are still a big mystery to me. The rear and roof will match the FT-1 (from what I could tell)

if this is the case things will get interesting once the RX-9 comes out in a year or 2 especially if it follows the same recipe but has more power from the factory. And based on their last concept this will come with a manual :headbang:
