The photo shows about 1/5 of my vinyl collection, I got my first serious hifi system back in the mid 80's and it was based around a Roksan Xerxes turntable so I was buying vinyl while everyone was switching over to CD! Those LP's are still whisper quiet as I always put the album in Nagaoka...
My iPods at the minute have 4583 songs and that would be a selection of tracks that have been ripped from my CD collection (so discounts vinyl) but there again I'm an old fart (61) and prefer physical copies of albums which have lyrics on inner covers and details of collaborating artists to...
I couldn't limit my favourite artists to 5, if I only count the artists that I have all or most of their album output in hard formats - I don't do streaming (CD or more likely vinyl) then I'm a fan of about 80 artists . From American Music Club through to Wand taking in The Blue Nile, Broken...
Thanks for your suggestions, I tried Apple Support but that didn't shine any light onto the problem. I've looked at any settings that might cause an effect and the only ones I can see are related to headphone use so I've turned them off.
Now to see if it's done the trick, more by trial and...
Sadly not as my other two cars are 17 years old now - both having CD drives. Thank you for your input in trying to help me out, I appreciate your thoughts on the subject.
I'm no expert, but as far as I know you need the MyBMW app to connect to iDrive. Although you don't need to register an account with the app - well, I didn't anyway!?.
When you connect the iPod to the car the IPod directs you to download the MyBMW app. I did that with the previous iPod - both iPods are the latest version, the first one only purchased last year specifically for using with the Supra and the newest one was purchased last month.
I'll have to...
I use the iPod Touch to listen to my music collection and this works fine with my original device.
When Apple announced that they were discontinuing production of the iPod Touch I purchased a second one for backup just in case the original one caused issues later on.
So I connected the device...
I'm with Admiral multi car and they're great for insuring more than one car, they're also very proactive regarding Green cards for those of us in NI who may need to use them more often for trips to the south of Ireland.
Gap insurance is with Toyota as I got them down to ÂŁ300 for 3 years.
Yes, that sounds good - it'll be like looking in a mirror!!
I tried joining the NI Supra FB group but I got the impression that they were too caught up in all things A80 so left that group.
To date I've been around Ards Peninsula more times than enough and was along the North Antrim coast road...
Your car choice mirrors my own thoughts, I had always wanted a Cayman (but a 6 cylinder NA, not a 4 cylinder turbo). I mentioned this to a friend who knew someone who ran a Boxster and they said that Porsche servicing made BMW servicing seem cheap!
I'm more than happy with my Supra 3.0 Pro...
Regarding tyres - there's a really good YouTube video on the "Don't know what tires to get? Watch this" thread, a very thorough comparison and I'll be taking the advice on board when the time comes to replace the current tyres. The Lightening Yellow Supra is a bonus!
So, the measurements for the plate fitted to my car are as follows, standard sizes in brackets.
Width: 305mm (280mm)
Height: 150mm (200mm)
Text size: 64mm (78mm)
Hope you find that useful and can get something similar made up.
My dealer had originally planned to fit a square full sized plate like the one you have but at the last minute decided to get a slightly smaller plate made.
I'm glad that they went the extra mile as it just takes up a bit less real estate on the front bumper!
Thanks, having taken delivery just in time for winter it hasn't been ideal. Wet and muddy roads (from farm traffic on country roads) are not the best place to come to grips with the new car as it's a bit of a step up from the MR2!
Just figuring out how everything works and getting used to the...
