What I discovered looking for my car is dealers will have the car on autotrader before they get it in stock and will even keep it posted after they sell it to try to get you to put a deposit for a future car. The cars will show on Toyota's website too as available but then you'll inquire and...
Beautiful car for sure. Hope I'm not breaking any rules by chiming in here but I think this is the best Supra color and I'd have bought one instantly if it came with the 6MT.
I almost went for a ZL1 1LE instead of the Supra. I suspect that by the time I would move on from the Supra, the ZL1s will be selling for more than they were selling for new (since that seems to be the trend for the manual C7s now that they're out of production) and that the time to buy would...
I'm up to 6200 miles now and no issues (knocking on all the wood). I didn't have a manual car for over 8 years and just popped into this one and had to slowly relearn how to drive smoothly and all that. I've only smelled burning clutch once and that was just getting a bit rev happy moving off...
Right! I'm just talking about the manuals which were only produced this year and projecting what i assume will be two more model years with manuals. Just trying to get an estimate, really. If it's more its more, if it's less it's less... 1216 manuals, 3 years...that would be 3648 and then 4,000...
So as of this moment there's only been about 1216 manual Supras produced? (Assuming this has to be a number for America or North America and not the entire world). Even assuming we project that out evenly to 2025, that would mean that there will be less than 4,000 out there in total? That seems...
I did my first autocross with one click on the traction control button. There was a turn at the end of the course onto the final straight that I was able to go full throttle out of. It was fun getting a little bit sideways. My suspicion is when I go back to that autocross track, that I...
2023 6MT premium at about 5650 miles.
No real problems. I came from a 2016 228xi so I actually very much enjoy the interior on the Supra - love the iDrive compared to the old version and like it more than iDrive8 in M2/M3/M4 but I'm a fan of hard buttons and not a fan of big screens. I may be...
And this is the one reason I'm mad I didn't wait for a 24 based on everything I've read. I really like the hazelnut interior... and absolute and stratosphere are my two favorite colors. I suppose there will be people that want to swap interiors and others that will crash and become parts...
Perhaps a silly question and I assume the answer is, 'of course not!' - but is there is there anything wrong with putting the car into first when stopped and the engine is off and then leaving it that way? I have never had this issue in over 3,000 miles and parking on slight inclines once or...
I saw this go up and was thinking that I wish it was out three months ago when I got my car. Then I watched it and it was a summary of what a lot of people had said in here about varying the engine load, not causing drastic changes in temperature (cold hot cold hot) quickly, and waiting for...
Not answering OPs question but it is definitely one that I have had and so I appreciate the responses here, and am hoping to just add the question of:
Is any reliability lost with the ECU needing to adjust and remain adjusted to a catted or catless downpipe? I imagine any change in reliability...
Just over 2500 miles on my car now with no slipping. Have been very nice to the clutch with the exception of some spirited shifting at times. Now that others are mentioning the car being down on power at times, it does feel like there's an occasional moment here or there where it doesn't just...
I'm being dead serious when I say that I'm absolutely sure that I'd take that in a second over some those fricken big wings like the streethunter.... but hey, different strokes for different folks I guess.
The vents grab my eye from time to time - I only have a minor issue with the front fender and bumper ones because the body of the Supra is one of the (relatively) few things that was uniquely Toyota's but it was a compromise that I accept for everything else the car is. In the end, no vehicle is...
Before the leaked photos of the M2 came out, I was inquiring about putting a deposit on one. I had been looking at the M3/M4 but there were substantial wait times to have a M3 built of over a year. I was told 6 months to wait for building a M4 that still had the older idrive for 2023 so I...
Sweet!! Thanks. Now I'll just sound annoying for asking the other side of the question but can sport mode re-engage rev matching if traction control is completely off? Or is once traction control off is rev matching gone for good?
I could be wrong but I think the only way it can be turned off is in sport mode individual where you can uncheck the rev matching in that menu. Hopefully I've missed something... Ideally I'd be able to turn off rev matching in normal mode but it seems the only way for this to approximate normal...
