Camelback Toyota. I requested to meet the Supra master tech who would be working on my car. My service advisor, who is great, made it happen. The person I met has worked there for, I think, 2 decades. I spent about 30min chatting with him and my service advisor about the car and all the...
I could not think of a better daily driver and truck:
-made a run to Floor Decor and transported 7’10” of stair nose
-made a Costco run that included a 35lb bag of dog food
-made an Autozone run for several items
-made a Home Depot run
All of this in the same trip.
It’s basically like having...
@R_R8TED you inspired me to get the resonator delete done. The result is very similar to yours except the car is bone stock. You are correct, this is a no brainer for less than $100.
Thanks for the great info and advice! Very helpful. Two more questions:
1. What made you decide to forfeit the last round?
2. Why are people with dedicated track weapons going out on a HPDE level 1 one day? It sounds like you were with some "regulars" who were not true novices (i.e., their...
Thanks for sharing your experience. I’m scheduled at Wild Horse in January. Two questions:
1.Was the track in such disrepair with debris that it damaged your car?
2. Would you do it again?
Thanks!
I'm 52 and have a 2.0. It brings a smile to my face every time I drive it. I think if you are able to buy this car, insure it, register it, maintain it properly and get in and out of it, you are the perfect age for it. What is true is that if you own one (like any other...
So I just looked at every pic up to this point. It appears we have a safe car when crashed as the structural integrity of the cabin seems to hold up pretty well (assuming the car is not totally destroyed ala VINs ending in 3710 and 4203). The most significant intrusions into the cabin(from what...
Hi. Great build! I’m curious about the stock hp and torque numbers for the 2.0. I was wondering after reading this:
(Phase 1)
**I will be scheduling a dyno session for stock output and then post DP install**
If you have the stock hp and torque numbers, can you post them? I did a quick search...
Thanks for the great info, pics and video! I am definitely going to do this as well as I agree it's a no brainer. Do you know which exhaust you want yet? If yes, what brand and type (full, catback, or axle back)? Thanks again!
Hi,
I was wondering if anyone with a 2.0 has done a just a resonator delete as their only mod that would affect the exhaust sound. If yes, what changes did you notice? Videos are appreciated! I cannot find much out there on 2.0 resonator deletes. Thanks
Got my break-in oil changed at the Toyota dealer today.
I let my service advisor know I had multiple reservations about letting the dealer do the oil change. So we went to the service bay and I spent about 25 minutes talking with one of the only 2 master trained techs who are allowed to do...
No, I would not purchase a manual because:
1. I use mine as my daily
2. The paddles allow me to have some manual control
3. The auto is smarter and faster than I am
4. I find the car is pure joy to drive as it is.
I say all of this as someone who has had 4 manual cars including 2005 GTO...
Thanks for the response RenRed2.
I should have been more precise in my question: I was wondering how the *stock* 2.0 performs at the NASA HPDE track day that comes with the car.
