So just got the car back from my mechanic, he checked to see if anything was leaking etc, he said it was all bone dry. He did say it could be the turbo. Any suggestions on how to check this? Would the turbo cause coolant AND oil consumption issues? And would it cause the white smoke I was...

My oil has gone a quart in 1k miles. Also the coolant 3 times topped off in the same time . Hopefully I get to find it's something fairly simple and not too expensive 🤷

I have not. With it being both coolant and oil consumption I figured either a leak, engine head gasket or pcv to be honest. Worth checking the pump for sure

Ahh ok, thanks! Yeah, there is no way in hell I've used a quart of oil in 1k miles! And in 1k miles I've had to top of the coolant 3 times. I'll definitely check that out.

Also forgot to mention, there is no residue or creamy/mayo looking stuff on the cap.

Have you tried to get the Freon refilled at a garage/mechanic shop? You also may have a leak

It is the larger cap reservoir, the one nearest the rad. The smaller one is fine, never had to fill it. I'm just worried it's a head gasket.
