when i tried to connect it via the bootmod3 its connected but it doesn’t allow me to see my car dme version I don't know why

I tried to plug in the obd2 cable but it didn't appear in my mac nor my lab top what I did wrong

how can I check mine is obd2 cable will work to check the software version ?

so I am in middle east where I don't think I have someone expert to unlock it, so I should try to buy mhd first and if it didn't work can jb4 be a good solution? + I haven't seen a lot of dme locked in my region could it be a thing for USA dealers?
