I am at 700whp and 680tq on pure 800 with the PTB organic plates. Feels stock without any issues and makes me wish I would have gotten at least 1 sinister plate.
chris at motiv. I think around 700 is a nice sweet spot for this platform. I was debating the pure 900 with nostrum but ultimately happy I went this route.
they stopped the pure 850 so you would have to find one used. I have the pure 800 and it feels the same as stock. Interestingly it is quieter than the stock turbo which is unfortunate.
My goal is around 700whp so I opted for the twin organic and the dual mass flywheel to try and keep it as drivable as possible. Honestly in retrospect I may have opted for one sinister one organic because it feels much softer / better than I was anticipating. Honestly feels stock. Install was...
I rarely launch the car or do 1st gear pulls but I rip 2nd through 4th all the time. I have not removed the clutch delay valve. I have a pure 800 coming in and am installing the PTB clutch soon.
I have spent a long time researching but really can't find much out there online about the pure 900. I have an MT on MHD and am going DI setup with s58 injectors. I am at 550whp now with goals of around 650-700 on E. I feel the fueling will probably be maxed out before either size turbo so to me...
If you are going for big power than yes. But it can be a cheaper / simpler way to get to that 600whp range as all you need is the hpfp/injector upgrade.
Why does the motiv flex fuel kit offer anything different than the MHD? I am running the MHD kit on E40 making 550whp on stock turbo / fueling. There are plenty of people going the upgraded high/low pressure fuel pump upgrade route without port injection.
Appreciate the insight and merry xmas!
1) Simple answer is I enjoy the process. It is a hobby. I have always wanted to build a high HP car but never had the means. I do enjoy the car I just don't take it to the track. Never said I didn't push it or race. I am just not redlining it for 15+...
