but im pretty sure you can achieve those numbers with stock turbo and e85
Yeah, you can push the stock turbo pretty hard. The record for stock turbo/stock motor car is still 9.4 seconds with very little weight reduction + some nitrous. I watched that pass happen at my local drag stip.

This is the insight I was looking for, which confirms my suspicion. It seems way to good to be true but it’s not half wrong either.

Depending on power goals and upgrade path. Eventually I would love to do the upgraded intake manifold and port injection along with it.

Mostly curious if I did the Pure800 how much power can I make safely, before fueling upgrades, then drivetrain upgrades.
Alot will depend on driving style too. You can go with an aggressive tune with a Pure800 and make 700whp on the stock block (Ethanol and basic supporting mods) no problem….but off the line WOT and launches (especially with sticky tires) and your trans will hate you quickly! 630whp is honestly the limit of safety on a stock transmission for all around driving. 700whp will require you to gradually accelerate or spirited driving while your already moving.

Is 600whp achievable on stock fueling without port injection? Debating about future proofing and going with motiv for flex fuel over mhd flex fuel and just upgrading my turbo but if PI isn't needed I'll just stick with mhd flex fuel kit.

AFAIK

Probably have to go big turbo on something like MS109 since it’s more energy dense. Be it stock frame or aftermarket.

As a general principle, you add more ethanol to increase octane when pushing a turbo out of its efficiency range.

The more ethanol you’re running means the more your demanding out of the fuel system.

Therefore you’d want to run a larger frame turbo with a greater turbine wheel and A/R to minimize knock by having an efficient turbo. By minimizing knock, you can get away with using 93 or 109 by maximizing the fuel system without upgrades HPFP or PI.

Botti got a Pure 800 car to 600 on 93. I wouldn’t say that’s reliable in the long term though.

Im fine with running ethanol I just wasn't sure if it i would need to also do port injection

yes with a decent turbo upgrade. ms109, or possibly sunoco 100oct would be the best fuel of choice for that though. we've done 560whp on 93oct with a simple p800. you could do it on e30, but you'll be riding the hpfp limit everytime youre at that level

Yeah looks like I'll be going motiv in that case. I don't want to chance it. Do you know if motive offers the flex fuel set up on its own? And then later I can get the pi set up harness

with the reflex plus you only need the sensor and fuel line connectors for it. the sensor connects to the reflex with the ethanol harness.

You can push the limits of your components to reach your wHP goals... Or you can get an upgraded fueling system, port injectors and cooling manifold to do it right with less stress on the components and better longevity.

The purpose of the build is the most important factor to your 600whp goal, if you're just dailying and occasionally stepping on it, it won't cost a lot, and as said in an earlier post you might not even need a trans upgrade. Just turbo, fuelling, exhaust and a good tune.

The moment you are demanding that kind of power on the track you'll need lots of supporting mods with good amount of overhead, you don't want your intercooler at 80% or fuel pump at 90% of it's operating limits when you're on track. Alternatively, you can choose to have a 2nd tune for the track at less than 500whp with the 600whp street hardware

Why does the motiv flex fuel kit offer anything different than the MHD? I am running the MHD kit on E40 making 550whp on stock turbo / fueling. There are plenty of people going the upgraded high/low pressure fuel pump upgrade route without port injection.
