I've seen people use multiple layers of masking tape on the high-impact areas. This would probably be the most cost effective way to do it but I'm not sure how effective it would be in the rain.
Do not drill the slave! It should be a very simple removal that you can accomplish with a small wood screw or a pick. You're just attempting to extract two objects from inside the slave-they should be able to come out very easily.

You don't need to install the E90 slave in order to do the clutch delay valve delete-you should be able to just disconnect the line to the slave and carefully remove the o-ring and CDV from the existing slave cylinder.
I would recommend just doing the CDV delete instead of adding a clutch...
I actually had a friend ask to drive my Supra before and after the CDV delete (not a blind test), and he noted that the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gears were easier to engage smoothly. Aside from that, you won't really feel the difference from the CDV unless you're doing aggressive shifting in gears 1-4...

8/11/22 - Deposit/Order preference placed
12/5/22 - Allocation secured
1/30/22 - Allocation -> freight status
With the timelines I'm seeing from everyone else, hopefully I'll receive the car by mid-late February
