If I don’t drive mine for more than 24 hours (rare), the next cold start always seemed to be kind of “meh”. I attributed this to a lazy/undercharged battery.
I also noticed that the car would “shudder” a little while idling at the first stop light of the day. Experienced this on my 2018 86 as...
Toyota Carlsbad service center did my two free oil changes on my 3.0 and the one on my 2.0 (sold).
Prior to the 2.0, they did several oil changes on my “heavily-modified” 2018 86.
Never had any issues.
Just installed the Tomei single-exit & was wondering the same thing.
We decided you’d have to cut a significant amount of material to even make it kind of “fit”.
Even then, I feel like you’d have to hang/mount the diffuser at it’s lowest point…
Two options if it was me:
1. It is an A91-CF. Aside from the VIN and lack of heads-up-display, you’re just paying extra for a body kit. I really hope you got a good deal if you are missing 1 of 4 pieces that makes the kit…
2. Throw a big wing on there or do something interesting. I haven’t...
I had Autotecknic canards on my 2.0 and they held up very well.
I’m pretty sure even Verus Engineering’s canards are just 3M tape, and they are extremely respectable.
I ordered them about 1.5 months ago through SpeedIndustry.
I actually just canceled my order and put the budget towards a catback (figured the money would be better spent).
I believe they’re still a month out or so…
Small update w/ a couple things...
Took advantage of FTSpeed's overstock sale and bought the OLM LE CF seat-inserts for 50% off. Like all my carbon fiber parts, I put a few layers of ceramic coat on the pieces & let them bake in the sun prior to install.
OLM LE/Revel GT, as usual, knocked...
HKS was also high on the list, but I feel like Borla is better bang for buck. I also like the way the Borla tips look, but I may have to coat them with something prior to install…
Looking at pulling the plug on a Borla catback exhaust pretty soon here…
Anyone with a 2021+ & a Borla CBE have any issues?
I’ve read various things, such as the valve not actually closing during cold starts & normal mode.
Thanks in advance.
Any reviews are also appreciated.
I run 265/40/18 on 18x10 +25 fronts lowered an inch with zero rubbing.
I also have -2.5 degrees of camber in the front.
You can either go with more negative camber and/or slightly smaller spacer to alleviate any rubbing.
Just over 4 months in. Car was built August 2020 and I’m the second owner at ~1800 miles. Car now has ~7800 miles.
1. Nope
2. Drive my car all day, every day. Just don’t tail gate people (especially larger vehicles).
3. If that’s a concern, get Track wrap (temporary PPF).
4. Bottom of the...
All I did was place some painter’s tape around the spoiler when I was dry fitting. I made sure to put it in the exact same spot, and it ended up perfect.
You might have to redo the 3M tape on the underside of your spoiler. Place the 3M tape strips in a manner where it’s not causing poor fitment.
The spoiler came with 3M tape pre-applied. After proper preparation & install, the spoiler will not budge (I am basically pulling on the weight of the car).

Just order directly through their website. Took about two weeks to show up for me. ?
