I think Toyota may just be biding its time.
For argument's sake what if they are planning to move the FR-S onto the future Supra MKV platform? It would have to be modular, which it should be for the Z3/Z4. I would be shocked if Toyota decided to just build one generation of the FR-S and let...
Yup.
Definitely a void there that's perfect for the Supra to come in at. Crack $100k and you're dealing with 911, GT-R, R8, and now NSX. Some Tough competition.
Definitely not ok with the cars sharing styling. WOuld hate for them to be rebadged cosmetic versions of each other like FR-S/BRZ, Eclipse/Talon, 3000GT/Stealth.
The new Mustang is still a heavy pig at 3600-3700 pounds so yea the GT350 will go like stink but power will never overcome weight when it comes to feel. A heavy high HP car might go down the strip or around a track faster but it own't feel as good as a lighter car.
THe FT1 is rumoured to be...
Is there a reason every one thinks that the Supra will be in the 50-60k range? What if Toyota decides to go balls out and build a hybrid super sports car for $60-80k that could keep up with the 911, R8, NSX, GTR but for $20-30k less. Nothing Toyota said has ruled this out right.
I really think they're either going to play it safe and price it around the RC-F so it can compete for buyers of the RC-F, M3, ATS-V, C7 at like $50-60k or go for broke and price it in the $80k-90k range to compete with the 911 and GT-R type cars.
Now that we know there is a 2nd FT1 concept coming what do you wanna see it with?
I'd like to see a reworked interior, something a little less high techy and futuristic. That I could actually see myself driving.
The exterior is awesome, hope it doesnt change much.
It hasnt been confirmed yet that the FT-1 is a representation of the jointly developed platform between Toyota and BMW.
Has me wondering what if anything BMW has in the works , any guesses?
The company's mindset is slowly returning to more excitement and fun with a focus on car's that create passion, starting with the 86 project.
The 1980-90s were an awesome time for Japanese enthusiast cars and I think the 86 and now the FT1 are going to be a rennaissance of sorts at Toyota.
The...
