I am changing out my existing exhaust system that did not have the option for the actuator to work. I zip tied it up inside the back bumper. The new HKS system has arrived and now I am having trouble lining up the actuator to the new exhaust system. The actuator is working as it should, from...
I have the same manifold. I had issues with removing the oil cap and filter. I ended up removing the cap/filter, and gently filing down the underside/side of the intake manifold where it was hitting. Took some time and a lot of in and out. I also sanded down the plastic oil cap also to help...
I went back and looked at my photos. You are correct. I did have to use the PI plate and the spacer, due to the bolts lining up. I like the idea of them including the two options with the kit, but not the tightness for the oil filter housing.
After reading the comments again, why don’t you use the provided heat spacer, which is thinner than the PI plate? In other words if you bought the kit new, it should have come with two options to run PI, or am I missing something here?
Seems it would be easier to run or use the top rail instead...
I had an issue with the installation also. I used the spacer, not the bottom PI rail. Thought it wasn’t an issue trying to access the oil filter housing for future oil changes. Well it was. It took some effort to get it removed put back on. I had to file down the bottom side of the manifold. No...
Firm and instant. Map 3 at 33-34psi in sport mode is the smoothest to me. Map 1 at 18-19psi, driving normal is more brutal. If this makes sense. The transmission is wanting to be driven hard. Basically, the harder you drive it, the better the shifts (smoothness).
In other words, the smoother...
I am assuming if you have had never had the XHP software, then it required the initial one at Stage 0. I am not 100%.
I had it on mine before the new stage 2 was built. I had it set on Map 3 with line pressure bump. I made only a few minor tweaks once I received the final revision from Rod. One...
After the local shop completed the work, they had to reprogram it back to the car. The owner drove it around for about 30 miles or so to break it in, and ensure no drivability issues. I picked it up a few days later, based on our scheduling. The car was ready to go. I could tell that second and...
Update:
Purchased the ATS Stage 2 clutch kit. Had it installed locally. Reached out to Rod from Sutphin Tuning, and he has sent some tune files for the tranny. Emailed Botti and he has finalized my tune for the setup that I have currently, with the increased torque. I told him to send it. :)...
I am personally running an AEM kit. I have had zero issues and bought the P2 tuned bracket to secure it. Starts spraying at 9psi and full spray at 18psi. I am using the middle nozzle that came with the kit. The light is mounted inside my driver side vent where I don’t have to look over too much...
If the 500 range is your current power goal, on 91-93 octane, then I would suggest the X. The 64 is a great turbo, one of the most popular that people have ran for many years on MKIV's. The spool I would think would be around 500rpm slower as compared to the X. The 64 would provide more mid to...
I have a catless DP, with a Extreme Online Store exhaust. The $720 complete setup. Its the deepest I have ever heard. Compared to the AWE and HKS throaty and deepness. I would say this exhaust is a tad deeper, inside and out. For the fitment, quality and sound, its very hard to beat...
Great numbers. I made very similar to the same numbers.
Fueling was E67, and 31psi. 667rwhp and 532, due to stock tranny. Told the tuner to dial it back under 550. Being built next week, from Applied Torque Solutions Stage 2 clutch kit.
I love the sound of mine. I was somewhat skeptical in the purchase of it, but for the money and the deep, deep sound, couldn't go wrong. Has a little drone at 80mph, but nothing too terrible. GLWS. Thats a deal on it...
I would think that most reputable insurance companies offer an additional dollar amount to cover your current modifications. I took out an additional policy for 15K thorough Progressive. Its pennies on the dollars. Just save the receipts for their audit purposes on why they paid so much more...
