Was the Pure 800 already in the car before you got it? Did you install it? The reason I ask, when I did mine, I accidentally broke one of the wastegate tabs. Not completely, but cracked it. I ordered a new one from Toyota, next day air. Try the calibration and see if you can tweak it. It’s my...
Of course man. Anytime. Glad I could help someone out. It’s much easier to do. I did reach out to BM and they are going to provide the right bolts for me. Customer service as always, is top notch.
The line going across the bottom clamp is for my meth injection. You can’t see it from any of the photos. In case anyone was wondering. It’s to keep it out of the way from ever touching the fan or shroud.
Pure your request. Hard to see it but it’s the bottom section of the FTP. Notice it’s not shiny. It’s flat black. The coupling is one from Visconti since I am running port injection.
I am very happy with this kit overall. I can hear with my windows up or down. Love the sound. Loud enough for me. My exhaust is pretty loud also and I can still hear it.
Raced a ZL1 Camaro last night and all he heard was BOV noises and only saw my taillights on three runs. ?
I didn’t change out the bottom FTP charge pipe. I kept it in place and reused the existing extended coupling since I am on PI.
Not sure, but I didn’t use the bottom one with the kit.
My results were the same. Had a little boost leak, due to one of the charge pipe clamp wasn't tightened enough. Repaired rather quickly. My kit didn't come with the correct bolts either. One of the bungs was super tight and wouldn't allow any of the bungs to tighten. Retapped it and worked...
It will be tomorrow before I can install this kit. I work shift and will not be home until tomorrow morning. I will post up some clips of my car when its finished and I confirm no boost leaks. I will more than likely only install the top section of the charge pipe. I have had ZERO issues with...
I recently switched to Marin also. Coming from Visconti. Night and day difference in just the first new file uploaded to my car. Hands down, Marin was pleasurable to work with.
I also ordered mine last week. I was a bit skeptical, like most of you, due to me having the Speed Industry HKS style BOV originally. My tuner told me to remove it. I missed the sound. When I saw this kit, I had to order it. It seemed like a better, more efficient BOV design than the HKS system...
I used a method very similar. I just used SEM Matte black plastic paint and no clear for protection. I felt it might leave too much of a shine and harder for future rock chips. I used the matte finish to match the front and rear diffusers. Yours also looks great!!
