I found this on the shifts too, also faster in both directions
I had read that there was different rubber for the suspension, and possibly some change to the steering rack but not sure on that last point, but I don't know if that's the full extent of it, not really much info out there at the moment
I've been doing some research into this. I think the answer is yes. But it's hard to know for sure.
What I'm not clear on is whether we'll be able to get any of the updates from the 2023 MY - potentially not because there are actual hardware changes too.
6'5 and 170lbs, (195cm, 77kg) though pretty long legs compared to normal proportions lol
I fit fine, have some headroom above me and the seat's just above the lowest setting, it'd be nice to have a seat that went slightly further back, but then the steering wheel would feel a little far away...
Having test driven the porkers... The Supra put a smile on my face and they didn't!
Great cars, but not as fun to me
And 4wd removes squeaky tyre fun
Choose what makes you happy and disregard numbers
Interested in this too, particularly for when the 2023 models come out with any tweaks made for them. I'd suspect anything not tied to a physical change _might_ be included. The level isn't the whole story though - different logic may get shipped to each control unit depending on the MY, VIN, or...
So far, both still sorted for me. I don't really drive baby & grandpa style though ?, unless it's really wet out and tyres are cold.
So yeah, get the ilevel update, redo your bimmercodes, sorted, seemingly
Out of interest, how did you discover the rumour that this resolved the issue for Z4s?
Oh I consider it, no shade at all! It's just easier to do these other things than find a software exploit that may not even exist, so the likelihood lies in that direction.
Frankly I hope it's _not_ leaked software/keys and there is a hardware/software exploit so that eventually more people...
Throwing in a recommendation here for modstock exhaust in the Croydon area, amazing how much more can be had from the exhaust with the OPF etc still in place
Unsure if anyone's tracking this but chiming in in case it's useful: no issues at all 1 year in, build date June 2021. Drive the car mixed, long cruising journeys, very spirited backroads, and a fair amount of rolling pulls. More useful would be to correlate the build dates of anyone with the...
I believe the BMW recommendation is a 70A power supply... honestly, doing this without a proper PSU is playing with fire. I wouldn't recommend doing this without buying one, don't be like me!
Battery chargers aren't enough. You might get away with a 25A charger once or twice like I did but... I...
I don't think there's any community progress that anyone is willing to share unfortunately. You're asking the right question on whether ECUs have been opened though.
Leaked/pirated diagnostic/development software still seems the most likely to me, mainly because hardware hacking has a potential...
I've performed the update to this ilevel myself today. Will report back in a few weeks with my findings. Certainly didn't have the issue immediately in the same circumstances as before though, after updating. We'll see
Did this today, was relatively easy. I just installed GTS Techstream from here: https://www.toyota-tech.eu/DiagnosticTools/Software/GTS though and that worked fine too. Had to buy a license through the EU site but it was only 30 euros that way (one 20 euro subscription for a week, and one 10...
Sure, but it's never happened before as a result of this. It's not like I'm ragging it seconds after startup, just rolling.
No other B58 car needs that treatment, nor should this one
Had this happen for the first time today, I think, and wow it can be bad!
Cold start, didn't really let the car warm up much, gently reversed slightly uphill off the driveway and turned onto the road which is also slightly uphill, switched to drive and went to gently pull away, and the car just...
We're potentially on a level here with the signing keys for copy protection on Blu-ray or HD-DVD getting leaked. Breaking a modern encryption/signing scheme with no insider info might as well be impossible.
The fact Femto need the ECU physically (no remote option at all) implies they're either...
