I'm not so sure, in the right light conditions mine does seem a bit pearly.. you can get a very slight purple tint looking at it at some angles. That might be my PPF/Ceramic doing things though.
Mine's wired into the fuse box in the driver side footwell, there's an accessory fuse in there that comes on with the car
I was lazy and busy at the time though, and ordered a kit with included mobile installation. Took the installer a couple of hours. There's a guide elsewhere on the forum for...
I read what you're replying to more as using an off the shelf map from MHD/BM3 rather than dealing with a tuner and the potential associated hassle. For the casual user who just wants a bit more oomph from their car, these always seemed decent value to me.
Sounds like very good news. The Femto unlocks (not the clone) only give access to the calibration area, and they can do a limited amount extra for each tuning platform like torque limiter removal, in their lab.
Does this work mean you could run whatever tuning software platform you want...
Ah yes, even if this is true, it's the "I'm only a lobbyist" defense. Because crushing the competition through these practices rather than just being better is A-OK! Next you'll be claiming you're protecting consumers and helping the community. Maybe offer a better service rather than pissing...
We don't get those in the UK that I've heard of, I certainly didn't :(
This does appear to be the dealer pricing across the board for an oil change in the UK, if you go to the toyota servicing website and plug your reg and mileage in...
Small follow up:
I've had a good play around with the EQ and timing myself now and got it dialled in to sound amazing. If anyone else happens to go this way and gets the same AMP, just shout if you'd like a copy of the settings. You might need a tape measure to do your own timing correction for...
If you don't know, it probably doesn't matter to you ?
This thread has more context on why I cared, I can't imagine many others will unless they're speccing base audio on their car:
Yes, though not with the stock JBL system, but whatever frankenstein the Jarama edition gets here in Europe. They claim it has 10 speakers, but it actually has 12... and the toyota techinfo docs state it uses a MOST loop for the audio signal to the amp in all 10/12 speaker cars, but in actuality...
It's a shame because it's just unnecessary. Nobody was attacking them from this community, just providing info and alternatives, perhaps a suggestion their pricing might be a tad high. But if they believe the service they provide makes that price defensible that's fine.
The way they act...
Reading this thread, very glad to not be in the US and so not even have the temptation of doing business with Visconti. Awful attitude towards the consumer and competitors. Childish.
Also Aviva, always been decent with mods in the past, better to ring them though to add them rather than doing it through the site. Admiral were good in the past too. I always check comparison sites at renewal and then call in to see if they'll match the best offer though. Probably won't have as...
One thing you do get with eco mode is "sailing" where the clutch gets disconnected and the car coasts at highway speed where it can, which may eke out a couple more mpg. But overall you can get good mileage in normal mode on cruise I've found, and that's the only time I personally care about it...
Definitely not cheap!
ÂŁ2250 all in, includes labour and VAT.
Honestly it's transformed the sound. I'm still fiddling with the amp setup, freq filters and eq to get it how I like it but I don't feel it needs anything more. Can get some good thump out of the subs if that's your thing, soundstage...
