  1. Yellow Park Light Flashing

Interesting. I used the same fuse for my dash cam but I used a battery pack which only requires a switched and a ground and no constant power. Almost 2 years and it seems to be just fine. To be honest I rarely use the parking brake but on the rare occasions I do it hasn’t had a problem. I...
  2. Yellow Park Light Flashing

Did you use a battery pack for your dash cam?
  3. NHTSA Recalls (Aug 3, 2021) - Remedy Available

Ditto on this. I have a very pristine 2020 and I have plans for it. I have to think this is no longer speculation, though.
  4. Help with auto turn iff

Yeah t yup that’s a problem for sure. Seems like the car thinks there’s a passenger even when there isn’t. You should be able to tell as the passenger airbag light would show the status. You might try turning off the feature in settings and turning it back on after a drive cycle but I agree...
  5. Help with auto turn iff

Oh man I know how that is! Most mornings it's a miracle if I remember pants
  6. Help with auto turn iff

Yeah I was just asking the OP if that were the case because I wasn't sure what we were missing here. If the infotainment isn't shutting down when the driver door is opened if there is only the driver in the car, then that would be an issue. If it's just that the OP wants things to shut down...
  7. Help with auto turn iff

Are you saying that the car won't shut down now unless the passenger side door is opened even when there is no passenger in the car?
  8. Help with auto turn iff

From what I have observed with mine, if there are 2 occupants in the car, the car will shut down after the second door is opened. Doesn't matter which order it is, but if it senses someone in the passenger seat, then both doors need to be opened. I have tested this by waiting until my wife...
  9. NHTSA Recalls (Aug 3, 2021) - Remedy Available

Funny, I just read a post from Visconti stating basically the exact opposite. If your ECU was tunable before, it will remain tunable. You will need a bench unlock but that's it.
  10. NHTSA Recalls (Aug 3, 2021) - Remedy Available

Folks are reporting that yes, it does.
  11. NHTSA Recalls (Aug 3, 2021) - Remedy Available

If you don't already have FS Apple CarPlay, let us know if that's been added in if you can. Good luck with it!!!
  12. Fullscreen Apple Carplay

Anything programmed through the head unit module will need to be re-coded. Many of the programmers that provide the service can add those changes into their coding so you don't have to do it again. You should be able to tell which will be impacted by looking to see which changes were made via...
  13. NHTSA Recalls (Aug 3, 2021) - Remedy Available

If each I-Level is based on the previous, then I would say that's more than likely. FS Apple CarPlay was introduced in S18T-21-03-530. But there's really no way to be sure until someone reports back after getting the update.
  14. Fullscreen Apple Carplay

Well, if each I-Level version is based upon the previous, that would hold. FS Apple CarPlay was dropped in I-Level S18T-21-03-530 and the recall remedy states the flash will bring cars up to I-Level S18T-21-07-519.
  15. NHTSA Recalls (Aug 3, 2021) - Remedy Available

They're probably not just updating the ECU, but doing a full I-Level update across all the control modules. As I understand BMW, when a production code level is released it's a consolidated revision across all the modules. Even if the base code for a particular module hasn't actually changed...
  16. NHTSA Recalls (Aug 3, 2021) - Remedy Available

Well the upside is that full screen Apple CarPlay dropped with S18T-21-03-530. From the remedy notice it looks like they’re flashing to S18T-21-07-519 so maybe full screen CarPlay for all?? ? Consolation prize for having to reflash
  17. Socal Sightings

Totally plausible lol. It’s like the surface of the sun out here ?☀
  18. Socal Sightings

Parked next to a nice looking lowered (or looked it) tungsten with powdered black OEM wheels in La Quinta in the Stater Bros. lot. Watched it drive away as I was walking back to my car. Tungsten is much better looking in person.
  19. Removing A-Frame to wire a dash cam

So this is where dash cams for BMWs can get a little tricky. There are supposed to be 3 connections for it, ACC to a switched power source, BAT to a constant power source and GND to a ground. These cars are very sensitive to current draw directly from the battery so I, like many others have...
