Are you saying that the car won't shut down now unless the passenger side door is opened even when there is no passenger in the car?

From what I have observed with mine, if there are 2 occupants in the car, the car will shut down after the second door is opened. Doesn't matter which order it is, but if it senses someone in the passenger seat, then both doors need to be opened. I have tested this by waiting until my wife...

Funny, I just read a post from Visconti stating basically the exact opposite. If your ECU was tunable before, it will remain tunable. You will need a bench unlock but that's it.

If each I-Level is based on the previous, then I would say that's more than likely. FS Apple CarPlay was introduced in S18T-21-03-530. But there's really no way to be sure until someone reports back after getting the update.

Well, if each I-Level version is based upon the previous, that would hold. FS Apple CarPlay was dropped in I-Level S18T-21-03-530 and the recall remedy states the flash will bring cars up to I-Level S18T-21-07-519.

They're probably not just updating the ECU, but doing a full I-Level update across all the control modules. As I understand BMW, when a production code level is released it's a consolidated revision across all the modules. Even if the base code for a particular module hasn't actually changed...

Well the upside is that full screen Apple CarPlay dropped with S18T-21-03-530. From the remedy notice it looks like they’re flashing to S18T-21-07-519 so maybe full screen CarPlay for all?? ? Consolation prize for having to reflash
