What "rear" button? When I back out of my garage, I have to press (and hold down) the lock button on the side of the stalk and put the selector to reverse. When I switch to drive, I do not have to push the button, I can just pull the stalk back to the drive position.

So far, I have changed the following...
-Auto on/off memory on (remembers last setting so I don't have to keep turning that stupid stuff off)
-Active Sound Design off (fake exhaust noise through speakers)
- Startup warning message off
-Passenger seat belt chime off
-Driver seat belt chime off...
I remember reading about that support being there because the Z4 is a convertible...extra rigidity, etc. I really doubt the flimsy hollow rear strut bar that's not even mounted to the chassis would provide much of anything.
Aside from the fire extinguisher (that's a new one for me), the rest are not possible without some serious modification. A few of us looked into the foot well and puddle lights, and the NA cars are not prewired for it. Nor is there pre-wiring for the rear 12V outlet. The D rings and the rear...
Nope, I was just looking at that and they pushed my order out. Wondering if they'd let me swap out the 15mm for the Turners. Figured I'd call them on Monday...maybe get a realistic ETA if possible or change the order.
yeah it’s a V1. It’s a gen 1. I looked at the gen 2 and it’s nice with all sorts of new tech. but they did away with the analog volume knob which I love. Still may pick one up though. Always used Valentine 1 detectors and they’ve saved my ass more than once
I actually turned the corner and ran it down the pillar under the window molding, but your way is probably a lot easier. I used a trim tool to push the wire.
I did update my install following @30MilesOffshore's install, using the F47 fuse location with low amp fuses instead of the F46...
if you’re plugged into the cigarette/DC outlet, then it only stays powered on for ~6 minutes after shutdown. So it’s not always on so no worries about battery drain. I’m hard-wired into that circuit and it’s no problem.
BTW- your radar placement May be blocking rearward protection due to the...
Man, I hope it’s just a typo or some other random website error. It’s one thing to have a different center bore listed, but the 5x120 bolt pattern as well might suggest just a copy/paste error or something.
keep us posted!!!
