I had some smell from my previous catted DP. I’d say it’s pretty normal. I had single cats on my Audi as well and it still had a smell. I wouldn’t worry too much about it.
I have a used H and R performance downpipe. I used it for a few thousand miles. Upgraded to a different DP. This one worked great but will pop a CEL. 200 shipped
When I ordered my C63 a few years ago it was like that. I didn’t know it was there until basically the day it showed up. It seems like they are kept somewhat in the dark as well.
That doesn’t sound like a wheel bearing to me. In the past my wheel bearing noises are more cyclical and consistent. They showed up while cornering. That sounds like something rubbing (assuming it’s the clicking noise). Like plastic hitting as you drive. Hard to tell in the video.
cool thank you. That’ll probably be my next venture for the car with a turbo swap. Ive been very Leary of Visconti. Just reading about experiences here and on the bmw forums makes me want to stay away.
If you drop the nut, which I did twice, just knock around on the underbelly until you hear it. Then get one of those telescoping magnets and did it out. Or stick your hand in there.
it’s really not that big of a job.
It’s pretty simple as far as car projects go. Little cramped but not bad honestly. I swapped mine, didn’t like the downpipe, swapped it back stock, then swapped in a different one. Didn’t take more than an hour. Just wear some thick gloves or let it cool off. Or just accept the burn every so...
Any shop that posts unprofessional comments looking for a fight on the forums probably has some issues. Just from their responses here I’d never do business with them. I’ve seen vendors defend themselves in a much better way and actually try to clarify what’s happening, not attack someone. Just...
Good website. I’ve ordered things before. You are probably going to throw a code. I would assume race downpipe means catless. Which will certainly throw a code. Half the catted ones still throw codes.
My first attempt was a failure. I had to schedule an appointment 3 weeks out. Went in and they said sorry we don’t have the oil. It’ll be at least 2 weeks before it’s in. Thanks for the heads up. So needless to say, back to doing my own changes.
Thanks guys. He does fantastic work and is by far the cheapest. I’ve had him do a bunch of work for me. Pacific performance coatings in Everett, WA if anyone is local.
the color is Bronze chrome. I ordered it from Prismatic Powders.
Picked up a set of stock Supra wheels from a local member. Got them powered coated and threw them on. Pretty happy with the result. They’ll hold me over until my works arrive. Then be my winter set. Old guy that did them is probably the last place that’ll do them for $50 a wheel and I’m always...
