    Why would you go WOT at such a low rpm at such a high gear? I’ve always been told that’s a good way to hurt things you don’t want to.

    That’s cool and all, but if you were as worried as you seem you really should have a have a way to read logs and check the ecu. It’s not expensive and will put your mind at ease. Instead, you mock the one person in this thread that was telling you this and being logical. Why even ask for help...

    Yeah…..So I was just saying that’s what the previous poster was implying when he said to pay twice. I’m personally just going to send it in for a partial unlock, so I can get some type of tune on the car. Also, currently seems like finding an ecu to clone on to isn’t readily available.

    Price was not really the problem for me. I will gladly jump on a plane with my ECU and fly to them in the US so they can unlock it and fly right back. I'd say most people don't do it because they aren't comfortable shipping their ECU's overseas.

    Correct, this is why I said they wouldn't make millions upon millions of dollars. The amount of research and execution to crack these ECU's isn't worth the money to them I am guessing.

    Toyota would benefit in no way to having the ECU wide open for tuners to do what they want. If anything, they would have to spend more to deny warranty claims when Jimmy the tuner down the street blows his car up and puts it back to stock to take to the dealer.
